As much as the melts on here have been funny, the commentators making judgements on the whole season based on a pre-season game is even more ridiculous.

We'll be fine, we can't expect everything to gel immediately. Understand why we didn't just play the youngsters this game - will take a few games for the guys to get in to AFL intensity.

I more worried about the usual suspects , d.pearce, suban ,sutty , ibbo , sheriden all play a lot of afl game .

Suban had as many kicks as he did frees against. If you look at our lowest possession winners the last 10 or so are all talls. Except for Nick.

In response to dropping Subes, RTB said last year something along the lines of "Suban crushes is at training but even though he tries his guts out, just can't get a kick on game day". Would be hard not including Subes at the start of the comp given his solid training but I reckon he won't get more than a handful of games going fwd.

Agree they all are below afl level. Should be giving the new guys a go because it's just going to be the usual average performances by them week after week and there is no way of going forward if we keep persisting with these guys

Apart from Fyfe we still don't have anyone who even looks like taking a contested mark.
How much of a difference does someone like McGovern make who just marks everything near him.
So sick of seeing Suban, D Pearce playing dumb football.
Not much to like about that hit out.

McCarthy has a long way to go to hit the glimpses he showed at gws. Hopefully shows a bit more before the season. He seemed to be higher up the ground and should of been at full forward. Tabener showed he is a better higher half forward
