9 wins is a good start? You started 7 years ago.

7 yrs ago we were r*ped by the afl. This yr we seriously started rebuilding. New coach, blooding of youngsters, getting a seasonsed star. It has started and will yield success sooner rather than later hopefully.

Don't worry sunny, the abundance of draft picks will fire them up at some stage. :thumbsu:

Yup I hope they will. We got the short end of the stick from the afl many years ago and because of that we have suffered and got the draft picks. Pretty simple. Maybe if we didnt get pilaged and retained our picks back then we wouldnt have had to finish bottom so many times.

Ohhhh and did I mention we had the arcahic thought process of Pagan?! He was a flog who did nothing for our club.

You paid your dues, but you carlton people should realise you have a lot of work to do. I know we have.

Pagan though was taught by Sheedy, hence a great coach just at the wrong club.

Agree with you 100% JC. We have an huge amount of work to do before we are contenders. Its just good to be able to be in a position where you can go to the footy and know that you atleast have a chance of a win. Hasnt happened to us for a long time so I think thats refreshing to Carlton people. Prior to 2000 we didnt have a recent losing history so its hard for Carlton people to swallow how pathethic we have been thus far in the 21st century.

How much work? I was under the impression I pay my membership, turn up to the games and the players will do the rest

I hope i'm not expected to turn up for a working bee or something

lol, yeah you were r*ped by the AFL  You were punished because you were cheating, and the AFL went soft. Look what happened to Juventus for cheating, you're lucky you weren't relegated to the VFL.

Seriously though, Carlton have improved but with their most important player having such a good season (with all the bad including his 100m pnelaty ont hwe weeked), it must be a worry for Carlton supporters next year that they are one injury away from being a laughing stock again.

You cheated and received a punishment commensurate with the offence. How is that getting "the short end of the stick"? Typical Carlton arrogance, you get caught doing the wrong thing and carry on like you're the victims of some gross injustice. You're lucky you weren't stripped of your 1995 premiership as it was achieved as a result of cheating.

The real victim was Pagan, who was sold an absolute pup by Elliott. The guy walked into a mess, through absolutely no fault of his own. He did well considering the bunch of halfwits he inherited.

No it ****ing wasnt, do yourself a favour and put in a bit of research to the years we were caught breaching the cap. Second I wont whinge about the severity of our punishment but maybe a few on here could explain why the same wasnt dished out to Essendon (who were caught twice) and Melbourne?

I dont condone cheating, as a fan I was ashamed as could be and will not go down the sympathy path for that punishment. At the same time I wouldnt mind seeing Essendon and to a lesser extent Melbourne being tarred with the same brush.

Sure you weren't cheating the salary cap in '95. I'm glad you believe that.

Do you also believe that Dick Pratt was not a party to fullscale price manipulation, the likes of which had never previously been witnessed in this country? Or that Jack Elliott is a fit and proper person to be a company director?

You probably even believe that Cain Ackland is a ruckman's a***hole.

I believe you cant even properly back up your statements. Like most posters on here who lack a bit upstairs you **** off on some random tangent (honestly Ackland???) without addressing one point I raised. Your not worth arguing with.

Funniest post of BF.

Sticky this thread.

All you guys laughing musn't watch Carlton that much.

Betts is a great, small crumbing forward. Applies great defensive pressure and bobs up goals most weeks of the season.

Bower plays off of the Half-Back Flank and has come on in leaps and bounds since last season. He injured his shoulder against Geelong in Round 10, and only came back to the Bullants last weekend to regain match fitness.

Houlihan is in our best 22. Hasn't played yet this season, due to his hip injury....hence why we are forced to play Jordan Russell . He only started playing with the Bullants last weekend too, regaining match fitness

Austin is an up and coming defender, played his role perfectly in the team when he was playing. Was dropped so Saddington could have his horror farewell game that everyone could see coming...sigh.

Bannister has been out since round 6 with his bad hamstring injury. He is arguably our best tagger in the team. Manage to towel up Brad Johnson and Chad Cornes amongst others last season.

Laugh all you want, but those guys are in our best 22. Well, to me, they are. All play vital roles in the team. Of course this is Bay 13, where all the flogs hang out to look cool. If you guys ever watched Carlton games, you'd know where I was coming from.

You mean the bloke that kicked 3.3 and had 20 touches against your mob? Good tagger that Bannister.:D

Did you miss the part where I said last season?

Bannister has been out since round 6 this year. Learn to read before you reply. :thumbsu:

Edit: And before you go looking at Round 10 last year. Yes, Brad Johnson did kick 3 goals against Carlton, but that was before Bannister was moved onto him. :thumbsu:

Get ****ed. We were no where near as dumb as your mob. At least we won the flag in the year we cheated.
