With Bev's 'my way or the highway' reputation what highly rated assistant/former senior coach is going to want to come and work under him? The only way we get someone decent is if they smell blood and are angling to take over if Bev gets sacked in 12 months time and if that's an even worse dynamic than we already have. You can have they best names in the game lined up, they aren't going to come in the current circumstances.

It has to be Bev that goes, with Grant following him out the door.

Think you're flogging a dead horse , have to accept Bev isn't going. Doesn't matter what the situation of a club is, coaches will always go there because its their profession. If they have in their back of minds that the head coaching job could come up in future, don't see anything wrong with that. The better the job they do, the more chance they have of getting it, so they're hardly likely to go in there smelling blood.

Hopefully the least that experienced assistants that have game planned against us will be able to do is correct the major issues that make us so easy to play against at times.

But really our whole method needs an overhaul. Top to bottom. So the ideal would be scrapping Bevball. How that happens with him still head coach, I’m not sure.

Yeah I’ve thought that, we need to pillage clubs like Melbourne, Geelong etc who do us over every time for their insight as to why we’re we so bloody easy to score against.

I’d be very very surprised to see a fundamental shift in the way we play, that’s just not Bev. And that’s what we need.

Who knows maybe now he knows he’s got nothing to lose and he has genuinely one more shot at it, and the wake up call of this year - maaaaybe he’ll be inclined to change it?

Considering what we know about him and how he’s unable to admit that he’s wrong he’ll probably double down even harder rather than change though.

That was really weird on Footy Classified Carro seems to be in the stick with Bevo and move the assistants on camp and Kane is very sack him which is on course, it's strange though cause Carro is very normally anti Bev

We probably cannot/won’t commit to a full payout (because with soft cap tax it’s likely to be upwards of 3mil) so there’s not much we can do if he won’t accept a partial payout

Also Caro said as of next year there are assurances in his contract that we don't have to pay the full contract out.

His new contract starts next year so maybe that triggers into then and the club is going to base where we are at come mid season if things are going well we keep him if not we sack him

Hearing that the club has been conducting an internal mini review since mid season is laughable. They did an internal review at the end of last season too.
They're clearly not up to it and are probably too scared to have an external review done because it means the whole department will come under the microscope.

And also why would even start a review at 7 and 3 odd? No way they happened.

That’s a good point we’ve all forgotten about actually, I was complaining about his new contract not having performance triggers in it but his new contract hasn’t even started yet

Fair but it’s only really gone into overdrive since Fronks mail, which I still very much believe to be true - most of the mail previously was saying Bev would stay with big changes around him, which is what looks like happening

Smiley Boy has been on the money all year.
Vital Dread inside word on contracts is usually spot on, also recently on coaching status.
Smiley has been strong on Bevo staying.
Maybe Fronk's source wasn't reliable - or was fishing to see where info appears?
AFL clubs are like spy networks, within them and between them.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Prigozhin hit was planned in an AFL boardroom.

The only one I can comment on having heard personally is Leon Cameron. The rest were just other names I read on here. All were just that we have asked the question i believe.
