Game day information leaked by Dogs player to Adelaide before Elimination Final

A few years ago a mate of mine (X) was playing in a local final. Another mate of ours (Y) actually knew somebody who played for the other club (A). Y lived with A's girlfriend (share house).

Anyway weds night at their shared place and A and his girlfriend duck out for dinner. Y sees wide open on the coffee table their 5 page detailed dossier on X's team - all their plans etc.

Obviously Y quickly photographed every page and fired it off to X, who shared it with the team. A few helpful points, they ended up winning.

No point really, just reminded me of this situation. And to say these things can happen through carelessness as much as malice.

Sorry for the X Y A stuff, seemed the least confusing way to explain.

It's also the plot of an episode of The Brady Bunch.

This kind of stuff would happen even more easily now given everyone walks around with portable camera's/computers 24/7 via their smart phones.

This is just crazy. Regardless of whether he's salty that he got dropped or if he's leaving the club at the end of the season, he has been at the club for years and would have known how much that final (first final for most of those kids) would have meant for his team mates, those are the team mates he has trained with 5-6 days a week for however many years. What an absolute ****ing scumbag.

Who's going to want to trade for this snitching goose now? No team want's a cry baby that has a massive sook when things don't go his way. Hope he gets banned for years for bringing the game into disrepute or something.

How would the Bulldogs have found out about the info being released?

I think X played at our club for a while

Bit of a dick but had that x factor

according to our CEO's statement, allegations were made last monday (our mad monday that would've been). If this is the case, you'd think our players would've heard something and gone to the club. Then we had interviews and based off them thought it was worth telling the AFL

Was there really anything noticeable unexpected/different tactically, or any real gap between the sides on the day? Watching the game, I didn't think so.

Really, I think the Bulldogs need to just admit they lost a close game that could have gone either way, and move on.

You're either trolling or just lazy. The club has already stated (as can be read on the first page of thread and various media outlets) that they believe it had no bearing on the outcome of the match.

Supposedly Cheney mentioned it to Stratton and Stratton, who knows bev from the Hawks told him. If thats true its not a great look that it was never brought up. Also not a good look that according to reliable posters on the dogs board, Adelaide are in the box seat to land him
