This is going to sound awfully rich coming from a former Roys fan but being 1 of the 15k their today i was in disgust. Firstly the crowd of 15 is woeful but then the fact that their were more Eagles fans was astounding.
I realise the G is your home and thats fine but show your team some support in their times of need.

From a former roys man you never know what could happen in the future and i am positive you wont suffer the same fate as us but get off your asses and show your footy club some god damn support, it'll make the good times that much sweeter.

True that. Nothing but great seats on offer with the top deck closed, blue sky and sun with the roof open and this. Weak as piss fairweather bunch we have that supposedly support us. Any excuse because of the ground is just soft. Soft.

6 years ago to this same game you got just under 36k when you were playing good footy.

Big Sexc i know its hard work mate. I have a melbourne supporting brother and a long term gf who goes for Hawthorn.

I have watched alot of these sides for the best parts of 10 years and hawthorn looked very similar to this from 04-06 it can change quickly mate it really can, but you have got to stick fat because the supporters who don't do not deserve to enjoy the success.

I prefer the panoptic view of level 3 to level 1 at Etihad, was disappointed it was closed.

No way there were more. Was plenty of them, and I'd even be generous and say 60/40 but if I just based on where I was sitting I'd claim 80/20.

Fact that we got less than North vs Port earlier in the year is the most depressing part, but if you're going to cite historical records I'd point you to the 12,566 who showed up when we played Freo in '01. It's not a new phenomenon.

Its easy to pot people not turning up. I keep saying every week thats the last game i'm going to goto this year, but the weekend roles up and i end up back at the game shaking my head again. Do they deserve our support? Who knows. I'll prob be there again same time next weekend regardless.

Where i sat there was easily more eagle fans, and from what i saw their was alot more yellow and blue about.

Aside from the Eagles cheersquad and a supporters group on one of the 50m arcs, that simple wasn't true.

I'll be there next week (with my Richmond-supporting cousins) and the week after against the Gold Coast, but I wasn't gonna show up today.
Especially after the performances of the previous 3 weeks.

I thought we played alright today and if it wasn't for our terrible 2nd quarter, who knows what the result might've been.

was a good eagles turnout but more melbourne in most pockets, probably looked like less because we barely had anything to cheer about til the 3rd Q.

Still 15k was what i predicted

Sometimes there is more important things to do than go to Etihad stadium. Just ask the MFC playing group.

I couldn't help but notice the amount of wce supporters around the place. Nothing like a few wins to get the bandwagon up and running.

What did you expect though? An interstate team that were probably going wipe the floor with us and being played at Corporate Stadium. Our members don't turn up there at the best of times. Not to mention the fact the last time we played the weagles in Melbourne we typically lost a game we should have won in a canter. Enter Paul Johnson

So what, you only turn up when we play well? Pfft

Boys, I have just got home from the Victory Room. Robbo and Neita told a few jokes. They interviewed Bail and Jetta for 2 minutes. There was lucky to be 100 people there. On my way out of the ground, I noticed a large crowd in the next door room. It was the West Coast after-match. Conservatively, the crowd there was 4 times larger. I know they don't play in Melb much, but **** me. I thought I was in Perth.

We can make excuses all we like, (all us posters were there I hope!) but the club isn't exactly flying at the moment. And it hurt. The West Coast MC actually said the crowd was 60-40 their way today. Their crowd went nuts.

Sitting on lvl 1 is terrible, can't see the spread or what's on up the ground in terms of space and leads provided, don't know how people can make reviews when they sit on level 1, apart from the attack on the ball and tackling pressure

This is crap.

Sitting at Level 1 at the cup (Etihad) is much greater viewing experience than Level 1 at the saucer (MCG).

There was actually atmosphere today, can you imagine how poor it would of been at the G.

Thats a two way street toy boy. When the club start giving a **** so will we.
Perhaps they don't give a **** because the supporters don't. I wouldn't blame players wanting to play elsewhere where their supporters are more passionate.

MFC floggs who didn't go today are the gutless one who keep this club going backwards.

I never felt it took guts to turn up to a game of football. I didnt turn up today for my sides win but I hardly considered it a failure in courage.

Should be interesting crowd next week. Richmond fans will probably outnumber you because of the win. But many of us know that we thrive on meaningless wins. When we last played there was something at stake and we floundered. This week there is nothing at stake. This is when we become a little dangerous.
