50% chance of rain

Hopefully it buckets down. Reckon the tall forwards will be the difference today and I'm baffled that Talia isn't playing today to help that situation.

I think their tall forwards are being overstated. Morris plays tall, probably takes Kennedy, Darling isn't that tall might be a surprise matchup (Wood or even Stringer judging by pre-season) on him and Rough takes the resting ruck and helps out with the high ball. Game will be won in the midfield.

Just under 2 hours to go now until the first bounce and then ill be ready to rock the scarf.

West Coast's talls are very mobile. We are going to have to be lightning quick and full of energy to break them today.

With this interminable wait for the game to start, I thought I'd have a few pre-game drinks and go for a walk to settle my nerves.

Bring on season 2014. Go Dogs!!!

I cannot understand all this support for Talia to be playing, his practice match form has not warranted a game.
The mistakes he made against Richmond VFL, on Friday night, would have been very costly tonight, when these mistakes are eliminated he will be selected.
Selectors have picked best 22, I believe they have got it right. GO DOGGIES.

Hoping for Nic Nat to be a late withdrawl.

Whassup dawgs

Hmmmm im hoping for griff to be a late inclusion seeing as i will be at the game and i like seeing talent play even if it is at the expense of my team.

This is the derby in my house with the mrs being a doggie supporter. I wish you all the luck in the world on the injury front and i hope you lose by enough that its a good game - or if we do flog you its enough that we knock freo off the top of the table - as they have never been on top of the table at the end of a round and it would melt their brains if we knocked them off.

Really interested to see minson vs cox and naita - cox was carrying a back injury last year all season and could barely get off the ground - no such excuses this year so be interesting putting him against the aa

Your midfield should be good enough to win the game over our mids if you get first use - on last years form anyway - we are hoping for better things this year- be interesting to see what we are like this year comparatively.

Can we please have dahlhaus. *waves hand all jedilike* - dahlhaus is a spud you want to swap him for ash smith and a packet of crisps

True, but it's all about match ups these days!

If you give us JJK for Howard, then sure :)

Gia being the sub isn't a surprise and is a good call, especially with the heat over there. Bodies will get tired quicker than normal, and Gia can use his smarts when he comes on to hopefully kickstart us.

I hope we're kickstarted a bit earlier than the third/fourth quarter personally.:p

I mean more once the heat has taken it's toll and all the players are a bit weary and starting to slow down. Of course it shouldn't matter because we'll be up by 10 goals by then :D
