Id almost put 1000 dollars on Tylden to win the E grade flag at those odds.

heard there could be a bunch of guys at another team to rival tylden if they play e grade, just a bunch of mates getting together for one last hurrah!
some very very experienced players in the side to from what im hearing there calling it the "super e,s" side!

Would there rivals be hesket?? or maybe Kyneton if they get there approval to the GDCA??

Are you talking about Tylden having a very experienced E grade side or are you talking about there rivals??

Hi guys,
looking forward to the next season of Cricket and have found the premiership odds very interesting!
Chinese Cut could you please explain the reasoning behind your decision

Yeah, can do.

Well,
Gisborne $2.00 favourites based on their performance last year and having the best cricketer in the comp. Harmon is clearly a level above even the second tier players. Strong bowling attack and some good young batsmen coming through. Have a good winning formula.

United $6.00 good young side in a old blokes club, new coach will make some changes. Hughes expected to bowl well, most batsmen under performed over the last few years and they still did well. If there top order can post high score should push the dragons. Will make finals without a doubt.

Rupertswood $7.80 Apparently given some motivation in the post season wash up to play hard, strong cricket in 2009/10. Word is the new coach struggled with the bat, however galvanised a young group and achieved a lot of success. Including flags across the board. On paper had a poor year but still made finals, should prove a finals contender again if they get there shite together.

Marsh $15.00 - lost a lot of players and some are saying they have lost the plot. Window of opportunity may be closing due to some disgruntled cricketers in the top two grades?? Might need more info on this one, but blokes getting dropped for no reason and players leaving might equal sometime in the middle part of the ladder until some juniors come through. Will contend, however are in the same class as woodend and Riddell.

Riddell - $15.00 Wadden fit? If so you can almost put the Sullivan medal on his chest. Bit of a one man club, however do have blokes who seem to get bags of wickets. Will struggle to make runs, but capable on knocking every team in the comp on their (waddens) day.

Woodend - $18.00 considered very value and a potential dark horse. Perhaps some older/former blokes coming back into the first XI could see their price come in. Doubtful about juniors coming through, might look at blooding some kids which will mean some heavy losses throughout the year

Romsey- a couple of slappers that love hitting big shots, unfortunately they are not playing IPL. Won' t win a three day game.

Macedon - nice town, high property prices, poor cricketers, T Shipp in the first XI may be option to up the runs made. Junior flags might mean some future depth. Making up the numbers.

Don’t rip the analysis to shreds, just making some observations. Take them, or leave them; however I was very close in 08/09.

Is that a shit stir or are Kyneton looking to move?

When we played against Tylden they said Kyneton were looking to move in the GDCA because Tylden was going to take all there young players as they are all mates with each other. Kyneton apparently had a meeting about it all to try and keep there players and if they wanna keep there players they said they have to move in the GDCA so that kyneton cant clear there players to Tylden.

Would there rivals be hesket?? or maybe Kyneton if they get there approval to the GDCA??

Could be hesket, although if whitton buys any more flags there would be a huge uproar.

Best spinner in the comp...????
Will be interesting given GDCA play on carpet and from what i know there isnt any real front line spinners in the macs? Any grade, but dont want the tylden boys to start with the 'this bloke should have played for Australia 20 years ago".
Whos is the best spinner, from what club and why?

can confirm that Tylden will have 3 players in the upcoming season who all played A grade for Kyneton last year. And one player maybe 2 who played Mcintyre at Wooden last year just becasue they have decided to take there football seriousally and would rather just have some fun during the summer playing crickets with there mates. i would rate tylden E grade side a $1.04 to with the premiership and the h grade side a $1.01 chance to win the flag

Holt is originally from Warrnambool I think, but is now coaching the footy club at the Marsh so seems to be happy in the town and rumour has it he is staying.......as for Rocket....who would want him......nearly as bad as Barker.
Huddle will be a massive loss for them though.

Word has it from the GDCA pre AGM that the following has occurred:-

Jack Code is looking at stepping down from President
The one day comp looks doomed
Rupertswood had a big crack at the Disputes Committee but got howled down by the membership - Buck from SUCC leading the way. Sounds like sour grapes over the Kevvy Barker matter

Situation normal

Bring on the 2009/10 season

Barker got the book thrown at him.... suck eggs! However...
Word is that the league have lost some face over the Barker suspension, power people from some of the big clubs are a little disgusted over the ‘farcical process’ that left egg on the face of some of the leagues decision makers. Would love to be a fly on the wall in some of those meetings. It will be interesting if how similar matters will be dealt with in the coming years. I would suggest team captains need to be on the ball when dealing with umpires and opposition captains.
Is the disputes committee being restructed in any way?
The exodus at The Marsh is coming!!!! Not a great prospect for a flag, let alone finals. Gisborne back to back.

Most people would agree Barker had this coming for some time. He stuffed up in the semi got reported by the umpires and got a suspension. Rupo complained about the process and the comp told them to shove it. How is this farcical?

former rupertswood captain and superstar alrounder Imran Khan has signed with aberfeldie, i certainly hope abers arent shelling out the coin that the "BRAINS TRUST" at rupo did or the joke will certainly be on them

word on the street is that the marsh have picked up a district cricketer who is going to focus on his footy this year. will make 1000 runs and take 30 wickets if he plays
