Congrats to Mathew (mullet) Cullen on playing his 300th game for the devils today what a massaive achievement and it couldnt have happen to a nicer bloke well done mull.
Well Done Amon (charlie) Charles on playing his 150th today aswell both have been great players and clubman for our club good luck today boys.

Well done lads:thumbsu:

Well lads it looks like the top 5 is set. I know the lads at Inverleigh will ridicule me for sayng this but I think they are no chance of winning enough games to displace Werribee as they confront the top 3 sides in the following week whereas Werribee tackle the 3 cellar dwellers.

i hear barry o'tool could be in alot of trouble. got sent off and on his way off punched a supporter in the face in front of all gdfl exec dont no if it was caught on camera

dunno y u are having a crack at these boy, as they are all great young footballers.
north geelong is in that rebuilding fase with alot of there younger boys getting the experience under fopiani,
in a couple kyears time when they hit there prime.. they will most probly b one of the powerhouses.. over the previous few years north geelong has had a great junior basis.. and now with all these guys steppin up, once they hav the confidence and experience things will roll alot better 4 them!
Rucky 10 you have to be a north person.

East Geelong by 50 points in Mick O'Leary's 250th. A great clubman & footballer. Good to see the Eagles give it to the boys from the Hill for Micko's big day.
Just on BPH......insipid performance. Rob May ran around like a goose, focus on coaching & your horrible tatts because you are past it. Brent Grgic is a blight on the AFL, concentrate on getting a kick & get off the phone to the Herald Sun. Two losses on the trot & don't look like firing a shot at St Albans. 26 points up at quarter time & being outscored 18 goals to 5 after that isn't a side that will challenge!
One other quick thing. Rob Chamberlain is a white Byron Pickett. I've never seen a bloke hit so hard. Just ask the 2 BPH boys. One who still doesn't know where he is & the other whose collarbone is lodged in his head.
PS......Ross Gemmil. A great coach & has a wealth of knowledge about football. It's a credit to the man who St Mary's were chasing to coach their seniors, that he took on the reserves job at BPH. Keep up the good work Rossco. You're great!!

i must agree, very poor performance by the panthers expecially after quarter time. looked out of touch and slow at times. to write them off come st albans time would be ridiculous after they chaos they caused last year starting with the east geelong mob by roughly 70 points, funny that. rob may first game back after 12-13 weeks out looked like he will need a few runs before the finals kick off. but by the looks of the few players still to come into the side i believe they could turn it around. good effort by east geelong though and this weeks game against thomson will show who the team to beat will be come finals time

Afew people on here that like bagging there own club. rucky10 bourkey23 ppaamm quinton09 phil dickpott one minute you praise north geelong then you bag some players, coaches and even the club.Thats what all clubs need loyal people.

i'm not from north, just have a few mates that play for them. all i do is simply tell it like i see it.

for a side to be 5-0 and then lose the next 9 games, and lose to a side like west who you beat by 150 plus in round 3, surely u have to look at the players in the side. is there players with big heads who got too far ahead of themselves after winning the first 5? is the coach too easy on them? are there players playing in the ones who simply aren;t up to it?

When most clubs struggle it is a range of reasons for failing.First you blame the players, then the club for not recruiting the right people, then the assistant coaches and then finally the COACH. So what are North Geelong's reasons for 9 loses in a row.

haha mate, what gave you the impression i'm from North Geelong?

i've got nothing to do with the club, in fact i've never played at any GDFL club and have only been a part of the league for 2 seasons..

Just because i rate a player that someone else doesn't, doesn't mean i'm a follower of the club..

Bourky or any other posters, I have a pot going with a East Geelong supporter who said Skrobolak is the best player in the league at the moment. He is top 10 for sure but can anyone suggest a player or two that would be playing better than him or more valuable.

Been away awhile so not been posting but this is a better question then some of the crap thats been appearing.

Most teams have key players.
For East this year Skrobolak no doubt, but Chamberlain and Sinclair are the others
Belmont - Gallagher and Mahoney
North - Young blokes like Hutchison playing well see North play well along with K Schwennesen
Panthers - Holzfeind, S Lewis and Cavka seem to ignite them
Corio - If Nicholls is going they are a different side
Bannnock - Hard one but Kolleger, and Riccardi
Thomson - Macleod and the old man Gardiner
Inverliegh - Kelly and Trotter (ready to be shouted down);)
Werribee - Leatch
Others don't really know.

I know the question is about influence but having seen Werribee a couple of times Coach Leatch influences that team and would be high up in the Whitley

Your mate from East is actually probably on the money. Skroba's definitely in the best handful of GDFL players that's for sure and his form of late has been pretty darn solid.. he kicked a few bags around 2-3 weeks ago.

It's arguable that he is the best player in the league but it's certainly clear he is the most important player to any side in the league. East simply cannot win without him..

I'm going to East v Thomson this weekend so that'll give me a better indication i guess

that's strange because on the 3 times i've seen Werribee he was very underwhelming.. (ableit last week when he didn't actually play)

so i guess that makes it two times:p
