You might of missed the best game of the round with the Lions getting out of jail on this one.

Looks as though discipline issues have cost BPH a couple of games. In a tight season this might be costly.

Your dead right there Drago, Bar for 1 passage of play with 30 seconds to go, West would have won... and i think they deserved to win! Western Oval has no soul to it. Cold, sparse & unfriendly. Anyone who goes to play West there will be happy with the points and to get out of there. The best view of the ground came as i looked in the rearview mirror of the car as i drove back to the resort... With the price of petrol, 6 of the last 7 at home suits me fine :)

Wiskers what is happening up there? At the start of the season they were flying. Have they lost players. Who played well for both sides. What was the act that cost the player to be sent off for the whole day must of been bad. How did Mclure go seen him in the twos looked pretty good and seen him in the best in the ones also. How long until Lewis is back?

My sorurce told me it wasnt all one sided, but when you chat back to the umpires and abuse them all day of course their not going to give you a free kick especially when it could go either way.

no they havnt lost any players t hey have acually gained a few. Aloiza Kozina yelled out abusive language and caused himself to be sent off. Mclure went well i thought and lweis is out for 1 more week im sure of it
 
Hey guys, just curious as too see if you guys know if Sam Bouwman is playing at anakie? He played at Newtown all his juniors and got a footy scholarship in the tasmanian footy league. The kid is quite good on both sides of the body and he definately knows how to put his body on the line and come away with the ball.

This season is shaping up as one of the best in a long time.
Bannock- on top and look to be in fantastic form
East- Have had some good wins and look to be a real danger
Belmont- A real suprise packet.
Thompson- Still a good side but not as good as they were
Bell Post- Have the list but cant get it together.
Corio- Really knocking on the door.
Anakie- New coach has them firing.
Winch- Well who knows with winch.

Have seen some great games already this year and i think this will continue to happen.

Highlight have to agree with you on this and i would think that this weeks game between corio and bannok will be a cracker of a game now the devil have found some form. Would have to be match of the round??? No doubt a big crowd will turn out. What do you or anyone else think???

belmont and thomson will be match of the round if corio get within 10 goals of bannoc i would be surprised

I couldn't agree more Buddah. The country tigers are a cut above everyone else at the moment. The lions v city tigers should see where Haami's Army is! Get there early as there's only 17 car parks at "Winter Resort"... First in, best dressed.. ;)

I think there are 3 games which will test where clubs are at
Belmont v Thompson
East V Anakie
Corio V Bannockburn

I look forward to hearing all these results. Belmont have done well so far and this will test them. Anakie are on fire and will challenge east. Corio are a real chance against Bannockburn.
Dont overrate Bannockburn- they lost to thompson, East were up on them most of the day. I think this comp is well and truly open for the taking.

East should account for Anakie. Their one inclusion needs to be stopped (sluggert), and old man Tate's influence quelled. East easy.
Corio could upset at home, but were lucky to beat a 3 1/2 quarter, 17 man BPH on the weekend. Yet to see Bannok this season, but past results should ensure a comfortable win.
 
This mornings Addy had a column regarding interleague footy returning for the GDFL. Possible opponents included CDFL and WarrnamboolDFL.
How do you guys feel about a return of this event?
Would and U23 plus 5 over age players be a suitable concept?
Or would you reward players on merit, regardless of age?
 
Lastly, the form of Jason Fastuca? Maybe Kooley can enlighten us.
Is it injury, form, lack of interest, or has the comp caught up with him?
Have seen a 1/2 of Werribee against east, he didn't dominate like previous years.

Agree with all that the comp has opened up in the last few rounds.

Would expect Thomson to win i they are seriou about 3 in a row. East should account for Anakie or questions will again be asked of them and I think Bannok might be ripe for the picking.
 
There is no doubt that we all agree that the competion is very close so i would guess over the next 3-4 weeks will be very telling on who's going to play finals or not!

Bannockburn are a good side and i dont think corio will get near them

Anyone know anything about Sluggert from Anakie, what type of player is he? Seems to be the reason why Anakie are travelling so well.
 
I can't see Thomson beating Belmont this week. Thomson arn't the side of last year and seem to be on the downwards spiral. Haami is in devastating form on and off the field and i can't see anyone the Thomson backline being able to take him....maybe Bradley or Ercoli being the only possible match.

Belmont by 20 points.

have to agree with u mate belmont should be a bit more classy than thompsonj but the rain should make it close.

fastuca's back is ****ed to pieces. is playing on pain killers and is the shadow of the player that dominated the comp for the past 8 years.
