3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

But is it your stadium? I need clarification
Yep, home of the Geelong Cats.
And the best part is we don't even need to submit applications to Gil or Eddie about when we wanna train there without upsetting all the other clubs who call the MCG "home" too. :)

Greatest stadium deal and home ground advantage.

Also I don't remember seeing a Leigh Matthews stand at the G. Youd think the Hawks should be able to name a stand at their home ground after their GOAT.

Hence the September 2004 join date.

Geelong's viablity has been questioned (and they have been propped up) several times in their history. Another example was the early 1940s when they relied on the generosity of the remaining VFL clubs
Pretty sure North were the only club that voted for them to remain in the league. That's right handbaggers, you can thank us for the fact that you still exist.

You're welcome

Well he has a statue...

It would be quite fraudulent for an organization to own an asset and not declare its depreciation in its report to financial members wouldnt it?

But do you own it? I dont understand how an organization can claim to own something if the asset is not disclosed in its financial statements. Isnt that illegal?
You've posted before that the Hawfs own Tassie and half of the state of Victoria.
I haven't looked but I can guarantee they're not on a single financial statement from the HFC.

Thanks mate and never fear, we'll pay you back once you've learned how to handle money. ;)

So does other non Hawk champions. Why do you have other team's champions statues at your home ground?

You obviously didn't read the Cats financial reports you so desperately wanted.

At least we have money to handle.

-$3.3mil
Yeah but having an AFL standard home ground of our own to play with means we'll wipe that debt quicker than the Hawfs can wipe their chins after drooling over it. :)

Give him time mate, can't you see he's off somewhere furiously trying to dig them up just for this thread? ;)

Define this statement. If its Geelong's stadium why isnt it identified in the financials?
Hey you asked me for clarification and I clarified so don't now get all snooty because you don't like what you hear.

Next you'll be asking me to clarify why the Hawfs are spending $60 mill on landfill and I'm afraid there's only so much I can clear up for you in one sitting.

Even with his so called 'superior' education it will still be lost on him.
He's deflected from being put in his place on the "unviable supporter base"... ...'troll' and is now trying to figure out why an apparently inferior club is very comfortable in its own home whilst his "powerhouse" club is still wandering around the countryside with an agitated an00s.

We've really got a live one here.

Its largely green wedge (hence the low value for purchase) but its land value will appreciate considerably if tye developers drive trunk infrastructure through the parcel of land...and then there is the possiblity (however slight) of commercial to residential rezoning in the future.

The majority of the 22ha is nothing more than a land grab.

Its also worth mentioning that there will be no repeat of Armstrong Creek with the club conducting 18 months of due diligence on the parcel before executing the sale. What period of due diligence the Cooky iniative on the Armstrong Creek development?

I think the Hawks will be alright. If all else fails they've always got Waverley Park on the books

Ive read the document. No mention of the Kardina Park ground as an asset

This is very peculiar
Nah, you just don't want to believe.

Or can't read 'Geelongistanian' one of the 2...

lol Waverley, so desirable it's only your 5th choice behind Tassie, Dingley, NZ and 'Hawthorn' itself.

You should probably be updating the resume and searching for gainful employment, rather that spending your time researching the history of a football club you don't support, yet think about 24/7.

But its not your stadium. Thats akin to Hawthorn claiming the MCG :drunk:

The sad thing is...you probably still wouldnt. The Hawthorn Football Club has close to $40m in net assets ($59m total assets less $20m in total liablities). How does the Geelong Cats compare.

I know. It sure as shit is a long, long, long way short of $40m...especially when you blow $3.3m in a season, complain to the hills about your admittedly minor contribution to the 'luxury tax' and call for a good old fashion tin rattle :)

Happy for you to address these points. What happens when Ford pisses off?

Tick, tock :)
Once again Hawkk lays the smack down on the Handbagger rabble. Your statistical ownership of these of these cretins throughout the thread has been absolutely first class mate. Clearly they don't understand the finances of their own club half as well as you understand ours.

I'll admit to being slightly nervous about the whole Dingly venture largely because I'm not fully aware of all the details but our wonderful club has such a sterling track record of managing its' finances the since the 'bad old days' of the merger era that its hard not to feel optimistic that it will be a roaring success and yet another reason for the Handbaggers to envy us.
