3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

You sound almost a bit jealous there Deano. You see the difference is rather than pilfering money by having the largest gambling stake in the competition, or bleeding dry Tasmanian taxpayers, we're going straight to the big fish to gather our funds. Has a bit of the old Robin Hood about it, seeing as we're a socially responsible organisation down at the Cattery, whereas the Hawfs just have no class about them whatsoever.
"We're going straight to the big fish to gather our funds" is a polite way of saying your broke-ass club is about to go down on its knees and beg Frank Costa to save it from bankruptcy. I'm sure by now Colin Carter knows exactly the kind of deep throat action Mr Costa prefers.

"UNEMPLOYMENT rates in Geelong are at a 15-year high and are the worst in Victoria, new data reveals.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has found Geelong’s unemployment level stood at 10.5 per cent in July, towering above all Victorian regions as the state average reached 6.6 per cent."

Must be a different source of information you have looked at.

This is concerning. With an over reliance on unskilled labor, the Geelong constituency is just about farked

Arrogant and bereft of class.

You know my position on unemployment etc and not once have I ridiculed Geelong in regards to that. Again this was not me attacking the employment levels.
Seeing as you have taken the quote out of context I will elaborate.
STD18 I think it was brought up Hawthorns poker machine revenue and described it as socially irresponsible. I simply reminded him that Geelong having poker machines in a region of high unemployment is equally socially irresponsible.

By all means attack the club itself, but resorting to attacking a city and those struggling to find work, which has zero association to Geelong as a Football club, is the lowest form of internet trolling.

It's Hawkk levels of posting.

Also, any club that uses pokies to provide revenue needs to take a good hard look at themselves.

So you're saying that a smarter man could run pokies that win less?

Sounds illegal to me. Though probably fits with the Hawks modus operandi.

"Geelong Football Club had about a 20 per cent loss in turnover, its 100 machines taking in $2.7 million.

The club needs to find new sites to host the machines this year, with Club Cats to be demolished during the stadium’s stage four redevelopment works."

Not much going on upstairs with you is there Mr Lemon?

Nope.

People in Geelong clearly redirecting funds from pokies into ICE.

Something had to give.

The next drop in revenue I'd expect would be in things like:

Buddhist Iconography as home furnishings
Tramp stamps
No deposit, no interest, no repayments for 18 months
Personalised number plates
Glamour photography
Bumber stickers
