3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

The catters are slobbering too much to read posts that aren't directed at them, so I'll let you in on a secret. Sympathy for their dynasty being diminished by the Hawks is a far, far more demeaning and powerful troll than gloating.

Had one flog at work so put out by my attempts to comfort them for their loss of dynasty, that he went home.

Poor thing

I would have just had a chuckle about nipping the certain Collingwood dynasty in the bud.

Haha, winning the GF is just a bonus, the point is we showed that we could make it there, which torpedoes your claimed that somehow losing a QF stopped us from getting to the Grand Final in the first place. And we saw that in 2015 we were able to lose a QF and get to a GF (and win it)

In fact we actually had to travel twice and we still won the Grand Final. And you're yapping about having to play three weeks in a row in Victoria? LOL.

Losing the 2011 QF put the Hawks on the tougher side of the draw, therefore making it harder for them to make the GF then what it would have been had they won the QF.

You can't seriously think that having to play Collingwood at the MCG due to losing the QF, instead of playing West Coast in a PF at the MCG if you had won the QF, wasn't a significantly more difficult game to win in order to make the GF.

The fact they made it to the GF in 2015 after losing a QF is irrelevant, especially given the quality of opposition the Hawks faced, I mean Adelaide, Fremantle and West Coast? Please.

It's a home and away game, whether it matters at all or not has nothing to do whether it's a do or die game.

Doesn't change the fact that your failure to beat us in 2009 cost you a finals berth.

Watching the Hawks finish 9th the year after winning a flag, and stopping them from making the finals, only provided extra joy for Cats fans in a year that we won the flag :thumbsu::D

Neither of those things have anything to do with how dynasties are judged. You've typed out a collection of individual awards which have nothing to do with team, and percentages which are superseded by team performance in crucial games. Dynasties are earned by playing well when it matters, which is why Geelong failed in 2008 and 2013 and why they fail the dynasty comparison. That's a fact.

You conveniently ignore the fact that our finals win percentage is superior, and that we didn't lose a final en route to a flag :$

Haha, the tougher side of a draw of Top 4 teams? :D That's nowhere near a knockout punch either. You've whittled your argument down so far you're actually agreeing with me now.

Two top 4 teams away from home is as tough an assignment as any, and is part of Cam Mooney's rationale in having to admit that Hawthorn is the greatest side of the modern era. If any QF was going to deny us, it was the 2015 QF @ Subiaco.

Doesn't change the fact that your failure to beat us in 2009 cost you a finals berth.

Sure it does, because it was our failure to beat Essendon that cost us the berth. If we beat Essendon, we're in. Therefore they are the team that knocked us out. For all their foibles, they at least stood up when it mattered.

You conveniently ignore the fact that our finals win percentage is superior

No, I addressed percentage, and pointed out that it is superseded by winning the big games. That's kind of what September/October is about. The big moments separate the coulda beens from the champs. Geelong could've been the best dynasty had they not failed their showdowns with Hawthorn or if Hawthorn hadn't been around. As it stands, they are a respectable third, after Hawthorn and Brisbane. Brisbane gained just as much from Geelong's capitulation to the Hawks, in that they were not overtaken either.

You really should have contacted Sir James Hird before his car rash interview last night

You really are the superior spin king

Keep it up - you give muppets like Nokia hope....

Likewise, did Geelong lose a final enroute to you rage quitting, threatening to stab trolls that had your number, before piking under mummies dress?

It's all relative I guess.
Nice originality there turncoat. Good to see only one thing has changed.

Crawl back in your hole or remain silent and watch on as the inferior Hawks keep melting.

Advice on crawling from the Bay's biggest coward

At least it's a topic you can claim as your own.

:thumbsu:
Now you're merely fishing for cheap likes.

Plenty of bitter Hawks around these parts now turncoat... Enjoy.

Now stop wasting my time you oxygen thief.

Trolling your sorry arse is the cheapest of fishing. You're so tilted toward the melt, that a simple nudge blows you off topic and back to defending your mega Welch, cowardly threats, and the use of mummy as a human shield.

You're powerless to rise above it, because you're scum, and you'll always be scum :)

Nice melt turncoat.

The Bay can be difficult.

It's okay. No one expects you to be any good at it.
I've made an entire supporter base melt for the best part of 3 months, so you're not alone.:thumbsu:

By melt, you of course mean 'reply'.

Melting would be threatening to hunt down, and stab anyone that replied to you.

It's ok, you'll rise above it eventually. :thumbsu:

Geelong did lose finals en route to the flags.
Lost 2008 GF before flag in 2009. Lost 2010 Prelim before flag in 2011.
Hawks were clearly superior by been able to reach the same outcome 3 Premierships, 2 years faster than Geelong could reach their 3 flags. Add in the added bonus of the dynasty killer in 2008. 4>>>>>3
