What it means for Geelong: Contending for top spot. Reliant on Brisbane losing to Richmond, the Cats can claim the minor premiership with a win. After a rollercoaster run of matches since the bye, it's also crucial for momentum into the finals.
What it means for Carlton: Another big scalp on the road. Imagine the summer at the Blues if they were to end Geelong's hopes of a home qualifying final and make it seven from 11 under David Teague.
The stat: 1996. The last time Carlton won at Kardinia Park. After returning to the venue last year, it's just the second time the Blues have played in Geelong since 1997.
The match-up: Zach Tuohy v Kade Simpson
Former teammates in defence at the Blues for six years, it'll be entertaining viewing on Saturday. Chris Scott suggested the experiment of Tuohy (No.29 ranked small defender in the Official AFL Ratings) as a forward would extend to a second week. Simpson (No.17 ranked small defender) showed why he was set to re-sign for an 18th season last week with another vintage display against St Kilda.

It's a big week for: Cameron Guthrie
Rarely given full-time tagging jobs but is the Cats' midfielder most likely to get individual jobs throughout matches. With the prospect of Patrick Cripps looming this week, Guthrie will have plenty of tape to sort through before Saturday.
Big call: Harry Taylor to swing forward at stages and pop up with a couple of crucial goals.
Prediction: Geelong by 24 points
