Ideas for getting more people in for the GWS game sit them on:
- the roof
- the light towers
- around the boundary line
- few more could squish in the coaches box
- everybody sits on someones lap

There you go more than doubled the capacity right there.

Pack it out like a New Delhi cricket stadium.

Here's the fans on the way to the game...

Haha, time for some genuine 1940s crowd safety standards.
(Check the players ploughing into the crowd when the pill goes over the line!)

I don't get the GWS at spotless decision, of course I see it from a point of guaranteeing them a GF spot by playing at their home ground but the AFL seems so big on what "outsiders" think of the game, and let's be honest if some random puts on the GWS v Dogs game and sees THAT crowd and ground and realises that its for a big final (let's go with Conference playoffs for Americans) there isn't a mystery on what they will think...
24,000?! Really AFL?!!??!!!?

Would've been a great chance to stick it up the NRL yet again.

It is pretty bloody expensive. I was thinking around $70-75 or a decent seat and instead you're looking at $107 for anything reasonable.
I'm gonna take the punt and pay full price. It's only my second game for the year and first final since 2011.

What are the afl membership tickets worth this weekend and when do they go on sale?

Seriously though, imagine if we'd lost against Hawthorn, beaten the Dogs and then had to squeeze into some bullshit 23,000 seat stadium...
You mean like Fremantle had to at Simonds Stadium?

MCG. Prelim Geelong v Sydney

Estimated attendance 80,000

No chance
Sydney don't travel to the degree the crows and eagles do
Geelong does not do as well on Friday nights as sat nights
No chance of 80k
We got 87 against the Hawks, and they pull a crowd

I think there'll be a reasonable amount of neutral interest in this game, so I would think AFL & MCC members would be reasonably full. I would have thought over 60k.

Not sure how the AFL structure the general admin prices (I'm an afl member myself), whether there's any 'blockbuster' pricing. This isn't blockbuster in terms of the usual competing team crowd supply & demand, so you'd like to think they'd keep the GA pricing reasonable to attract a few more people. But I doubt it.
Prices are high and keep people out

Hello, not sure if I'm welcome. Coming up with some Tasmanians and am after 5 tickets (1 cat, 1 Swan, 1 bulldog, 1 power, me). I talked to a cat on the main board and he said I'd get better/cheaper tickets using a membership number, if okay could I grab one? All good if not possible, I'll wait till the public sale at 2pm

EDIT: Thanks to cats23 for your help I got some good tickets :)
