Background on Harvey Lang is pretty impressive...finals everywhere he coached..Have heard from a Stawell mate that he will get them fit and will get the very best out of each player.
Again ...hearing an 'out of Geelong central' team's players are over the waffling of their self impressed coach....could be a long or short season??

Your stawell mate is right shad, he will get them very fit and will get the best out of some of the players until they get sick of hearing the stupid things he says and lose respect.

over 300 senior games, i am certainly not bitter, i was never coached by harvey but was on committee with one of the clubs he has coached. I am only letting other know clubs of our experience with him.

Yes Mrs Mac sounds like the counselling hasn't helped. Good luck to Grovey I say.for looking outside the square......people who I respect and know him have said very good things about Harvey......
Anyway enough on Grovey....early betting sees St Joeys, South Barwon, St Marys, Bell Park, Colac in that order...what's the general feeling...Joeys looking great with Carsons etc...with St Marys a dark horse with some great pick ups..

hows leopold going to go?

can confirm port adelaide assistant matt primus to play 6 games with either grovedale or with younger brother luke at anglesea

Turn it up Turnip...Primus to play locally...doubt it..
..and Leopold should have a strong list so they could sneak in........but if the big red head doesn't change his way to reflect the listening skills & concentration of his players..they will crash..regardless of who is on their list...

Leopold with a strong list and looking to sneak in. Believe it when I see it, they have been saying the same things for the past 10 years. Good luck to them.

i have heard the same thing. A good source says they are over the do as i say, not as i do

the race for david johnson is down to 3 with st marys, leopold and bell park in it up to their necks!

paul hood has officially been appointed coach of the falcons too, for those interested...

what exactly is the playing groups problem with greaves??

I heard that there was still another 3 or 4 clubs in the race.
Your sources must be good.
St Mary's must have an endless cheque book with a very big overdraft, they seem to be picking up big names every year and they have previously had blokes travelling from Melbourne to play.
Where does all their coin come from?

from a very reliable source, i am ruling out lara...

st marys also doing massive extensions by the look of it! good, loyal and wealthy sponsors are the key to their financial success i think...

From what I've heard...the coaching is a bit high tech...waffling on way too much...not seeing that some of the playing group is losing interest and motivation....similar to his previous club

With Sleeman gone, pyne retired and Jimmy Allen not returning anytime soon (the messiah they have hoped would come along) plus most of the kids that have come through their juniors not really performing the way they had hoped, is Laras only hope to become Spotswood west?
Or do they have 3rd last sewn up for the 5th year in a row?

So can Morgan Hunt play?...Don't know anything about him...how old is he?..will he make a difference?..Can he take a mark?...A few big guys running around GFL who can't mark..

Didn't you read beaublazer's post numbnuts??
Pretty sure i remember he was in Anglesea's best players pretty often. Think he can play key positions both ends too, wouldn't think he'd set the GFL on fire but would be a handy pick up..

Jimmy Allan is not the answer to the cats problem. He is a glorified midfielder who needs players around to protect him from taggers. At local level he will struggle with no protection and people will be surprised how little impact he will have on the competition
