I'm with you Shad no player unrest at Grovy things going great guns from what I hear. 30 players off on a player camp this weekend surely indicates that the players are trying to do there utmost for improvement.

what would you like to know? he's going pretty well and seems to have fitted in nicely with the group, was a bit shy for the first couple of sessions as you would be but has started opening up a bit now...

not much else to tell really, he's just another bloke on the track now just with better skills, better physique and better fitness than the rest!

Dav will be a great coach...for one week...crap the next and good the one after...he'll be a great role model one day...crap the next week...awful the week after that..He hasn't got the stability to offer himself as a good coach nor role model. Even with great cattle..the farm manager is unlikely to get respect out of his players...and I'll stick with whoever said it earlier...he'll be sacked before season end...

I dont know you or have any opinion about how you will go as coach but a little advise. You would be better served spending time on your tactics than reading and responding to the stuff on here because regardless of what your thoughts are other peoples will always be different. Anyway all the best for the season and after reading some of the stuff I hope you have a successful year as that is the only way to answer the critics.

Pete it is an anonymous forum...we don't have to log in as ourselves....and I agree with Drago...as a coach I assume you are getting well paid to worry about developing your team, game plans and the like...not responding to anyone's opinions....and personally I would like to see St Albans do well.

That's great to hear. Probably just shit stirers back home trying to make a story. I've found him an excellent coach, who should bring plenty of fresh ideas and a new fitness base to the club.

Good on you Peter for having the aggots to login as yourself and address the forum. All we have here is a difference of opinion. St Albans have had it tough over the past few seasons but are no doubt a proud club. You have a big task in front of you and myself probably along with most of the others on here, wish you all the best for the season ahead. It is a tough ask to basically start from scratch and get a club up and going. That is what you need to do and best of luck in doing it.

good point drago. if you are going to worry about what people are saying on here then your focus is in the wrong place. from what i can gather, most on here have no idea, and are getting their kicks from passing on rumours that would be howled down in real life

Hey all....im a new player down at saint land....as of what i have seen Davenport is doing a greta job with development of the squad...yeah it might not be the best side kicking around the park but **** me swinging no side is. As for all the shit about him leaving or being sacked...i Dont think it will happen Peter knows he has the support of his staff , players and saints fans behind him and thats what makes it a great place to be.

In saying that yeah what was on front page of todays paper is in my eye a decent act for peter he has clearly just had enough of the bullshit from the past and some people on here. 2010 will be the yr that St Albans Football Club wont back down from a Game of footy. ( just my 2 cents )

good on ya pete hope you do do well was at the club a couple of years back but didnt play a game got injured and too many arrogant blokes but alot of them have left now which should make it easier to get the players you will need.
