hey guys i just thought we could post all our thoughts leading up tot the round 1 clash possibly the biggest game of the year i know its a long time away but yeah

getting a bit worried about it considering hodge and croad might be out i damn hope not cause hodge dominated the GF and would be a massive blow also Ellis

also with crawf retired cant say he had a huge impact on the game but he was still helping out

should be an interesting match hopefully buddy and Sammy can turn around there GF performance not saying they were crap but buddy and Sammy didn't tear apart there ares like i thought they would

would be cool to see Mooney kick straight to then it would be a battle of the midfield's omg drooling at the sight of it

Oh really:rolleyes::rolleyes:

yes i do think its the biggest game of the year...... for hawks and geelong

im predicting this game will effect the mentality of both teams through out the season

You have spouted a lot of shit in the past couple of days young fella, but I agree with you there... :thumbsu:

Anyone who says that there are not mental edges to be gained/lost in this game is deluded... Especially when Geelong and Hawthorn are involved....

There is the obvious general opinion that both clubs are a fair bit ahead of the rest (sorry Dogs)...

But more importantly, these teams WILL meet in September, and the mind has a huge part to play come finals.... As we saw a couple of months ago...

I agree that it will have minimal effect on the season and the ladder on paper, but once we go past rd 22, these games will be very important...

Cattaz fans still making up excuses for thier loss.

still hurting lads?

I honestly don't care if Geelong win this game by over 100, we will dominate september once again.

Not happy this is round one, another piece of trash draw by the AFL. Round 1 games are notoriously shit. players display poor skills, arent fit, and suffer more serious injuries. Wish this was round 5-7 when both teams are heating up.

Hawks by 60pts.

Both teams will be trialling a few things, new players, different positions, different tactics, esp Geelong after their "kick and hope" inside fwd 50 game plan failed.

Didn't happen to see the Grand Final did you? We had 2 fit players on the bench and still won.

Meanwhile everyone had said the only reason the rnd 17 game was close was because Geelong were missing players.

Spot on. I would have thought Clarko will play his cards close to his chest in round 1. Would just be ncie to see some young players get some time.

Geelong are just an allround better side than hawthorn...anything can happen in round 1...if i had to chosse i would say geelong to win round 1

geelong better chance to go on and win premiership too

Hawks will have a premiership hangover and geelong will come out and wipe the floor with us and then everyone can say see we told you so - a bradbury premiership.

Quite happy for Geelong to win 22 games in a row again next year :thumbsu:

What a shit reply, doesn't make a lick of sense or address what you quoted in any way....

I was talking about the accuracy in the scoring shots, 18.7 in any game let alone a GF is fantastic kicking, don't you agree? You replied to my original post to show you a premier that didn't kick like that so I pointed out the 2007 GF where the Cats kicked 24.19, not exactly great kicking given the number of scoring shots.

Make sense now chuck?;)
