Jeez, the last derby at Subiaco is like death by a thousand cuts.

And you watch them come out next week and play like the Harlem Globetrotters

Bradley playing good football but his finishing hasn't been flash but will need to shut him down next week

I'd much rather they come out like the Washington Generals. ;)

Annoyingly we have done Geelong a lot of favours this year - we've beaten Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, drew with GWS and lost to Geelong twice.

I am patently waiting for the 2018 Karma bus.
We will have few injuries, JOM will be firing, and games against pussies won't even be close. We have a massive incentive to bury them.

Then they don't cheat like essendon do they
They handball one handed, they handball with both hands movng, if they havve a choice betweeen disposiing of the balll illlegallly oor legally, they pretty much go with the illegal option every time.

There was a complaint or you think there was a complaint?

He's just guessing that there was a complaint

The story was leaked to the media, so the AFL jumped at their own shadows.

I thought I read there was a complaint.

Rereading the article it says the AFL insist there was no complaint, but this is when they were saying allegations were false.

So all I can say for sure is the story got to the press and two guys have resigned for reasons not made public but related to as the AFL put it in appropriate workplace relationships

Before that, we get the pleasure of watching geelong fail in the finals, again. They'll be out in two .... again. :)

OK but from the info in Caro's age article it seems neither man was in the direct line managment of the woman he was involved with.

If what makes a workplace relationship "inappropriate" is the potential for coercion or favouritism then provided there is no direct management between the two parties it should be all kosher.
It seems to me there is also a moral imposition being applied to married folk. Surely if you were sacked or forced to resign on the basis that you were married and unmarried people in similar relastionships wer not forced to resign or sacked, then wouldn't you have grounds for dicrimination based upon marital status. I understand that is a no no! Can-o-worms

I'm not saying that work relationships are bad or that someone should be fired over dating someone from work
there is obviously more going on here

there is also a history of this sort of thing in the AFL and at clubs, and there have been quite a few people step down over the years not to mention what has happened recently at Channel 7 with Tim Worner

I worked at a place where one of the guys running the business somehow survived several sexual harassment claims, still took home a pay check, the girls were moved on and it took until around the 5th for his wife to leave him, he was still there hiring young girls to sleaze onto at work functions though

I reckon there is more to this story than just someone cheating on his wife with someone from work though

Three executive members all banging junior employees? Sounds like a work place culture issue which can only be addressed by sacking the executives.

Executives are very public figures and are paid to protect the brand. They breach the values of the organisation and threaten tge culture then they are going to get sacked every time because they aren't doing their job. I'm with you in that I'm surprised anyone is even questioning the different treatment of the junior employees v the execs. Execs are paid not to do this kind of shit.

The men have said exactly why they resigned. They are paid to be the example, they breached the values of the organisation and they put at risk the afl brand and its sponsors.

No
Execs are paid to do their job, as are "junior employees"
They all are hired and expected to uphold the values of the organisation

They are all adults, with functioning brains
It ain't hard

So Caro copping backlash from the AFL (she called them bullies). Seems the herald has sat on the story for six weeks while they came to terms with the afl on what to print and what not etc. one of which was not naming the women.

Caro ignored that and named them
I berated Caro for writing this story originally using the "poor women" platform as the basis for bringing this to the publics notice - I unreservedly apologise Caro
