Geez GWSs talent is scary - Taranto and hopper are stepping up and they seem to have got some small forwards.
At present they overpossess the ball a lot but if they tidy this up will be hard to beat. We get excited about the prospect of Mitchell, JOM and cogs etc, but GWS surpass this today.

That's why they can afford to lose one of Cogs or Kelly. Their depth is just ridiculous.

I want to find the guy who framed the 'contact below the knees' rule, and strangle him slowly with piano wire.

Just saw another one in the Freo game, Freo guy tried to knock the ball out, while a Dog stumbled over him. Frre kick to the Dogs. A ******* joke
100% agree. The rule was brought in to stop players sliding in dangerously and taking out players legs (Gary Rohan having had his leg broken). Instead it's just randomly paid against any player on the ground who makes negligible contact with an opposition leg.

But marking attempts that see players knees smashing into the kidneys, spine or back of the head are fine as long as the jumping player makes contact with the ball.

Even worse when you see instances where it should of been paid or least more suitable logically but it's paid high contact.

Sweet Jebus Xavier Ellis has been in a lush paddock since he retired! Almost didn't recognise him. Good on him for making all of us overweight ex footy players feel better about ourselves though.

His Instagram page is filled with self-deprecating gold. Photograph of him posing in the pool in Singapore is my personal favourite

Rohan 3goals so far against the Eagles s at least we're not the only team making him look like a footballer.

Maybe it just reinforces what some Swan supporters say about Horse - doesn’t play them where they should be played

Just wondering why the $wine$ had buddy in the coaches box?
What could he possibly offer other than giving longmire an excuse for a loss?

I think the Swans want to know where he is when he's not playing footy. It's either the coaches' box or letting him loose on the Sydney nightlife.

Cats always start the season well. Credit to Scott, he gets them up and about early, knowing full well they will fade in the last third of the season. Ablett will fade as the season goes on ( he’s 35 ffs), Rohan will fade as he always does and the Dangerfields, Hawkins and Selwoods are also on the wrong side of 30 too. They won’t win the flag.

Glad I'm not the only one here who sees it! Many have made the cardinal sin of being blindsighted by Cheat Ground H&A form, something we should all know to throw out as a useless indicator of how those mongrels will perform on the MCG in September.

The Scats were handed what at the time looked like a brutal opening 6 rounds of their fixture so naturally Sooky La La Scott has them up & about, playing finals-intensity football when everyone else is struggling to chug along at 3/4 pace. Once other teams match and exceed their intensity when the real stuff starts they'll go to water as they always do.

When Garry frickin Rohan is heralded as the savior the writing's on the wall for any who know how to read it. ;)

Yeah it’s funny in a way. Chris Scott should be admired for the way he has his team always scrapping, always contesting, always up there and about. Lots to be admired in that, they always give value for money. But yet, but yet...you just know that by about round 15 some of the older guys will be spent, some of the kids will have been worked out as not really that good and the rest of the competition will realise that the core of the side is really pretty average. Until then they will scrap and dive, bank the four points each week and hope for a last hurrah in August and September. It will end in tears.

Just thinking about how many times this year a team has lost two + players to injury during a game, and the impact it has on rotations and therefore fatigue and not being able to close out a game. Its happened to us in R2 and R4 and it happened to Carlton today .
No doubt there will be an eye on expanding the interchange bench if that trend continues. Could we see a mix of extra interchange and further lowering rotations?
