Not from a hawthorn perspective? It was a ‘nudge nudge wink wink’ takeover by melbourne, wh wanted hawthorn locked in as a feeder club before 1925.

Melbourne. Be far the worst organizational wise going round. They were so dumb they couldnt organise a training ground anf thought glenferrie was the bees knees, a ground hawthorn left four years later, and is now deemed unsafe for anything above auskick.
Apparently they later refused the offer of olympic park which collingwood now use

Half of the clubs mentioned had comments relating to potential player movement - St Kilda ‘asking the question’ about Ben King etc.
Then when it’s Clarko, it’s about who he’s apparently going to “harass” next.
