Seriously Delusional fool

The AFL have pumped an average of 25 million a year ( for nearly ten years) into the Suns
And this Basket Case is going to lead the recovery.

I don't think so

Yeah he is just trying to secure the club’s future. He would know they are in the gun. Yeah t would be fairer to keep aflw than Gold Coast.

Dangerously idiotic...

Does anybody see how Gold Coast or GWS could survive? The superdraft to redistribute players could quickly change the talent profile of the remaining teams. Assuming it is in reverse ladder order, Hawks to get Noah Anderson with pick 8!

Just for funs sake… if say the Suns were scrapped then realistically how would all their players be divided up amongst the remaining teams? Would they all just become free agents that can sign with any team they want (ie the highest bidder). In this scenario and due to the fact we missed out on Cogs you'd think we'd be in a pretty damn good position to land a couple of good players. Just imagine the melts if we managed to sign both Rowell and Anderson.

This article popped up just after my last post. Its very interesting to see which clubs are supposedly struggling, battling or healthy.

If it comes to that then I imagine it will be somewhere in between. Something along the lines of...

Players who would qualify for free agency status at the end of their contract can terminate their current contracts and sign on with whoever as unrestricted free agents.

The rest (and those who don't want to to terminate their contracts) can either enter the National Draft and get whatever that normally gets you, or enter the Pre-Season Draft naming their price as any out of contract player can do. For those players who had the opportunity to terminate their contracts but elected not to (likely because they're in a situation where no other club is likely to take it on at that price) if they enter the PSD with their existing contract as their price and they don't get drafted the AFL will pay it as severance and they retire.

Plenty wrong with this I'm sure, but my point is that it will likely land somewhere between the AFL putting the best talent directly into the weak sides and the AFLPA fighting for everyone to become instant UFA's with contract insurance if they don't get signed.

salary cap? How’s that looking?

Its more popular a greater return on investment and cheaper bang for your buck and it doesnt suck the talent pool dry for the rest of the competition.
Only downside is the TV rights demanding 2 teams per state fantasy

If TV rights deal just like everything else affected by this pandemic will have to reach a compromise if they want the competition to survive. Surely in the grand scheme of things the demands for 2 teams per state could very well be something that is sacrificed even if it is just in one state (ie QLD).

AFL media still working to keep it high in the public discourse

Latest finals series will be expanded, plenty of choices being touted

So exactly how will an 18 team final series look?

Hindsight also tells you why bomber Thompson always looked so laid back while he was coaching
I've not known meth to make people act laid back
