They are so arrogant they assumed Clarko could not say no to a blank cheque.

Possibly, but a Tassie team, even if approved next year, won't be ready for at least 5 years.

If he’s looking for more than a head coach role, perhaps leaving a bigger legacy, then being the bloke who put tassie firmly on the footy map might well be appealing. If they get a green light for entering in 2027 or something similar there is a heap of work to be done by then to make sure they enter the comp in reasonable shape. That would start with juniors, local comp etc etc.

He said himself he would like to give back to the bid if approved. And the club doesn't just build itself. Building a new club from the ground up is something I can see Clarko being interested in. I think his future lies beyond coaching.

I think Barrett has a mental impairment where if he doesn't have the dumbest take on any given day he will have a breakdown. It's genuinely baffling that he wants to be so wrong so very often.
