Ken Hinkley should be the most nervous, set up perfectly at this stage for Clarko to return!

What? This has nothing to do with body contact and everything to do with the fact that we picked him over Merrett.A little unfair he seemed to not mind body contact until he fractured his wrist doing a tackle
They will be missing Thomas and LDU at the Gabbatoir. JHF is surprisingly good and will get bulk midfield minutes next week. Think the Lions will have them covered.Well I am of the opinion that Norf are the real deal now as their supporters have been telling us all summer.
Post was sarcastic. North are garbage and Brisbane will belt them. They will be missing Thomas and LDU at the Gabbatoir. JHF is surprisingly good and will get bulk midfield minutes next week. Think the Lions will have them covered.
How about his grin when he pulled out ' I've been a little more bullish on Hawthorn than everyone else 'I see you Leigh Montagna
He did sort of jump off the bandwagon so we’ll see his reaction if and when we lose a couple in a row. This season is not going to be about wins / losses for us anyway but rather how we respond to adversity. We’re obviously still lacking that experience that you just have to pour into your kids (30-50 games). There’s just no way you can fast forward that unfortunately. How about his grin when he pulled out ' I've been a little more bullish on Hawthorn than everyone else '

Ralphy being backhand positive about the Hawks in this article. One noteworthy piece:
The Hawks list is still full of holes.
It still has an ageing midfield that might be at retirement age by the time the window is open with Luke Breust 32 in November, Jack Gunston 31 in October, Tom Mitchell 29 in May and Chad Wingard 29 in July.
It still has an ageing midfield, he says, before naming... 3 forwards and 1 midfielder as an example? Cut him some slack I suppose.
Everyone's saying this, but i disagree. Franklin scored the ton once, but otherwise racked up 70-odd goals on average, which is great, but not exactly outside the realms of current day forwards who play 300+ games. Especially those who can actually take a mark on their hands.Won't happen again IMHO
What an absolute pleasure it's been to watch the LEGEND that is Lance Franklin

Surely the AFL just selects a rule to ignore, allowing them to cheat & get their season back on track?Interesting Round of footy coming up.
Can the Dogs avoid going 0-3 ?
Pies vs Cats and Blues vs Hawks are lot more interesting games than one would have predicted a fortnight ago.
This.Surely the AFL just selects a rule to ignore, allowing them to cheat & get their season back on track?
You can disagree all you want but fact is no one else has gotten close. Jack Riewoldt has won 3 Coleman Medals, barely missed any games during his career through injury, played 300+ and entered his goal kicking prime at an extremely young age and he's only just barely broken 700. He's not gonna get there.Everyone's saying this, but i disagree. We're talking once-in-a-generation, AFL legends here. Clearly Riewoldt doesn't come close. Or anyone else for that matter, because again we're talking freaks. So to say Franklin is the last we'll see, yes, I disagree. And though forwards are kicking less goals, the fact we're seeing more playing 300+ games, means it's not outside the realms at all.You can disagree all you want but fact is no one else has gotten close. Franklin is 30% better than the next best modern day forward. Scoring continues to go through a cycle of dropping and stagnating, Coleman Medal winning tallies continue to get lower and lower. Unless something radically changes, the journalists are completely correct on this one.
Me thinking about the 2016 finals series again…Surely the AFL just selects a rule to ignore, allowing them to cheat & get their season back on track?
