I have colleagues that live down there and they enjoy it but at the same time they love coming to the mainland. Most young men would prefer a city close to their family. Geelong is driving distance to Melbourne. Hobart isnt.Is can see the tassie team being a super power far sooner then other clubs because of the location and lifestyle, it will be interesting for everyone else
Plenty of land tooIf Geelong can lure people based on lifestyle then a Hobart won’t have a problem. Great place.
Circle jerk? I only had an invitation for a dutch rudder whatever that isThere was a circle jerk going on in here last week over Bowes, imagine how big that circle would’ve been had we ‘won the race’
Global Warming alone will make Tassie far more desirable than the majority of the East CoastIs can see the tassie team being a super power far sooner then other clubs because of the location and lifestyle, it will be interesting for everyone else
It’s a quieter life, but they would have enough disposable income to use flights as an Uber. Can just see it being the perfect fit for a strong portion of the league and wanting a different type home.I have colleagues that live down there and they enjoy it but at the same time they love coming to the mainland. I'm 29, I love Tassie... sometimes. Food, distillery tours. It's nice for a get away but I wouldn't want to live there and I'm hardly a party animal. Blokes in their 20s aren't going to be as keen on Tassie as you seem to think. It’s a quieter life, but they would have enough disposable income to use flights as an Uber. Agree. But players will not like getting on a bus for a 3 hour each way trip 4 or 5 times a year and will quickly tire of playing in front of similar crowds to GC and GWS. Young men would actually want an actual night life as well. Player retention will be a massive problem. Might at least take a few players from joining Geelong for those that like the slow pace.Hobart is a far better place to live than Western Sydney.
Jeremy Cameron trade incoming. Cows and allIt’s a quieter life, but they would have enough disposable income to use flights as an Uber. Can just see it being the perfect fit for a strong portion of the league and wanting a different type home.
We should get ahead and buy up all the land in Tasmania so we can package it up to trade with Tasmania for draft picksJeremy Cameron trade incoming. Cows and all
Most young people move away from the country. Not saying city life is for everyone but it’s for most people. It’s a quieter life, but they would have enough disposable income to use flights as an Uber. C'mon no night life in Tas is just a wrong call, plenty of options in Hobart. You make it sound like pubs/clubs close at 9pm.Agree. Tassie is not for everyone but i am not sure the bus trip north is a deal breaker

Delicious tears?Going to be funny if JHF is stuck at North
Port not budging, North not budging, AFL blocking trades. Will end in tears
Apparently Clarko may force him to his contract. Wow.Going to be funny if JHF is stuck at North

Umm it won't be Clarko it will be the terms of the contractApparently Clarko may force him to his contract. Wow.
Is it that bad? GWS clearly have their eyes on someone that North don’t want anyway - I assume they discussed who GWS will be taking. What a rabble Norf are. Managing to lose 2 #1 picks in the same draft.
Finish last in both 2021 and 2022, with no #1 to show for it lol
I know mate. It’s just funny when you read it on paper like that lolIs it that bad? GWS clearly have their eyes on someone that North don’t want anyway - I assume they discussed who GWS will be taking.
So pick 2 is the same as pick 1 for north.
Pick 3 plus a future first is what they get for JHF.
They will turn one number 1 draft pick into 3 top talents assuming they pick well. That is ok isn’t it?
