Yeah they were lucky with those two wanting to come home - but on the other hand there are 8 interstate sides that have players from Victoria that we are able to target.

As much as I love Ward and McKenzie, I see the problem with missing top picks - especially watching Rachele and Sheezel - they seem a level above or at least have reached a ceiling much faster and have the ability to hit the scoreboard with forward craft as well as being at home in the midfield.

Our biggest weakness as a team at the moment is getting it on the scoreboard. It just undoes all our good work in the middle and off half back. Heads drop and teams can attack us knowing they won't be punished taking risks.

Gotta make our next top 5 pick someone who can kick goals

100% agree, we desperately need quality forwards, I really hope we can find one as a free agent and draft multiple successors.

The fact is that is easier to look good in a winning team; we just have to work out whether they are making the team win, or if the team is making them look good!

I'll expand that to all of the Gold Coast players who play with so much confidence. Anderson, Rowell, Weller, Miller, even Chol this game has been fearless. Very exciting team to watch when they're playing well

He’s not close to fit enough and can barely play 70% game time. But he was colossal in their last year doing the inside work. Really let’s Brayshaw his natural game.
