9 touches, 9 hitouts and 1.1 for Jackson. Ouch.
You’d be forgiven for thinking he had bricks for hands. He can’t take a mark to save himself.

They are playing like a bottom 4-6 side , so yes its winnable especially with Lewis backOn that game, we are a chance to beat Freo in a couple of weeks. They have no forwards and they have already lost to North at home.
Should we restrict the Last Post to ANZAC Day only?
I don't even know who plays in the NRL version (aside from Storm vs Warriors). presumably there's a Sydney derby of some sort. That story makes out the ANZAC day game in the NRL is as big a deal as the AFL one - what a laugh. I mean sure they have done it every year since 2002 to copy the AFL but it’s nowhere near as big a deal.
His really is the definition of a disappointing career. Every club he joins goes backwards, and his own performance peaked in his first two seasons. UnfortunateCrazy to think that JOM was treated as a more valuable trade quantity than Mitchell last year.
JOMs been cooked for a couple of years now, we all knew it and now Freo are experiencing it first hand.

Doesn’t mean it hasn’t been disappointing, for both player and clubsThat’s harsh
Promising career cut short by an early injury that has impacted his ability going forward
It should also be noted that both the hawks and dockers knew this when recruiting
Tanking apparentlyUnfortunately yes ......buts its a disaster for us we traded him out apparently
Bloody hell that’s bat sh.t insane by FreoThey gave him 5 years
I like Jaeger & wish him the best but damn.
It’s harsh but if I was going to choose an adjective to describe his time at the Hawks disappointing pretty much nails it.That’s harsh

The initial deals JOM had with us were fair at the time and we all lauded it.Bloody hell that’s bat sh.t insane by Freo
How the hell does JOM keep getting these sweetheart deals, must have a great agent I guess
It’s harsh but if I was going to choose an adjective to describe his time at the Hawks disappointing pretty much nails it.
And it’s going to be even worse at Freo, he can barely move out in the field these days and it’s just going to get worse not better.
He has made a lot of $ out of those two deals so he can’t complain if fans point it out.
Whatever way you cut it JOM will have ended up at the end of his career at being paid an A grade Salary for providing C grade output (harsh but ultimately correct). The initial deals JOM had with us were fair at the time and we all lauded it.
He was one of those promising youngsters in the league with many thinking he’d be as good if not better than Judd. He had the Rising star to show for it, and a great reputation as well at GC behind the scenes. It was all conditional that we’d get his knee right and the club (and us supporters) completely backed us in to do so.
Showed promise and glimpses here and there but ultimately he never got close to where he would have had he not been injured.
Freo probably looked at our list and our midfield and thought they could bring a lot more out of him with a better squad around him. They were also competing with GWS who were dead keen, so they had no choice but to stump up the 5 years. We’re paying a lot of the first year deal anyway.
Clubs don't get sucked in, they pay for the talent of the player. Both Wingard and O'Meara had talent in abundance, it's unfortunate that injuries have meant we haven't seen that as much as we'd like. At the time, they were offered deals that were in line with their ceiling.Whatever way you cut it JOM will have ended up at the end of his career at being paid an A grade Salary for providing C grade output (harsh but ultimately correct).
I'm putting that down to having a good
agent plain and simple.
Always amazes me how clubs get sucked into these dumb trades, I think a lot of it is due to the egos of those making the trades (Clarko with Chad is a classic example).
Supply / demand mate. There were 6 clubs chasing JOM originally when we got him, there were 2 the second time around (with others reportedly also monitoring).Whatever way you cut it JOM will have ended up at the end of his career at being paid an A grade Salary for providing C grade output (harsh but ultimately correct).

That’s irrelevant to whether it’s disappointing. Disappointment is the failure to meet hopes or expectations, which sums up JOM’s tenure at GC and Hawthorn and I expect it will also be the case at Freo.Clubs don't get sucked in, they pay for the talent of the player. It amazes me how you can critique the club for not having the ability of foresight.
The last 5-6 years could have gone a lot differently had some things gone our way. If Roughy didn't get cancer, if O'Meara and Wingard stayed healthy, if AFL didn't screw us with Cogs, etc. You can't complain about the planning when some things just don't fall your way.
JOMs knee injury I recall at the time was being described as something you would see in a car accident it was that bad.Clubs don't get sucked in, they pay for the talent of the player. We all know it’s disappointing, hugely so. But the implication that it was incompetence/ego/genius agents is just nonsense. That’s irrelevant to whether it’s disappointing. And Melbourne have their first pick.Freo are 2-4 and yet to play any of the highly rated teams yet. jOM aside, their trading has been mind boggling for a top 6 from last year. Luke Jackson deal Was sill6 when they already have A top 3 ruck in comp . No finals for them this year
Melbourne might get to add a Watson, A.Reid or Duursma at this rate. And Melbourne have their first pick.
There weren't warning signs with Chad, there was no question around his attitude and commitment. That's just some bull shit you read on the internet. And none of it has any relevance to his injuries anyway.JOMs knee injury I recall at the time was being described as something you would see in a car accident it was that bad.
With regard to Chad I get the impression that Port weren't exactly heartbroken to see him leave, seems they had some misgivings about his attitude and lack of focus on football.
In both cases there were warning signs but the club thought it could make it work regardless.
Whereas when we got Tom Mitchell with a very fair trade we knew we were getting an ultra consistent, ultra professional and injury free footballer. Now that was a smart low risk / high reward trade.
