I feel like a plucky, young team that come from nowhere to make finals would be the prime suspects in upsetting Sydney's golden season

Take out the first QTR Cats got smashed. If the Swans kick straight that's an 8 goal loss at least and they were coming from a long way back. It's the right play to try and jump them from the start but once they got their game going they just overwhelm teams. No margin will be too much the way they play.

Wouldn't be surprised if a team or two coming home ( out of contention most likely) experiment and tag 2 x of Gulden, Heeney or Warner .

They contribute so much to their scoring , take two out and you are well on the way to beating them .

Sydney are brilliant but they can be beaten.
Pressure at the contest, pressure on the ball carrier. For the whole game. Geelong couldn’t sustain it.
Their midfield is second to none, but their forwards are a little overrated. Especially the key forwards. Other than Papsley, who whilst being a pest, is pretty damn good.
Not saying this year but we can hunt them down.

Seems like a real B team tonight. For such a big game, poor effort by channel 7.
Although, if Matt Hill wasn't in America, would be a perfect opportunity.

I just can't rate this Essendon team.

I know they're high up on the ladder, and they beat us, but 90% of their team are the same spuds that have been turding it up for the last 5 years.

Stats (and eye test) have Bombers as overperforming.

I expect unless they can keep winning against xG and numbers, we will see them come lower in the ladder as the season continues to progress.

Interestingly, Bombers side tonight is older and more experienced on average than this Carlton side. Feels like a lot of experience will fall off this list in next few years, as there are some players definitely in their latter years.

There is no shortage of tickets available. Sometimes they just release them in bays or sections. Jump online or just call ticketek on Tuesday morning.
