Sydney still have the ability to score in bunches when required, but they're incredibly reliant on either Heeney or Warner to spark it. They're very gettable if they can't get one or both of those guys firing.

This is one of the reasons why I'm happy the Hawks don't have one guy we're relying on. Day seems to be a guy we need in for structure, but given that we should have beaten GWS in spite of him being tagged it doesn't seem like we need him to fire up at all.

This is one of those games you watch and it's hard to see either team as a genuine flag threat.

Tag Heeny

Hawks havent had 1 Elite mid since crawf days - it's a shared load

Swans might be getting thier form back after this and crows next

I was in a New York City bar watching in frustration as the Swans utterly smashed us earlier this year. Where has that Sydney team gone? Has anyone noticed some space seeds drifting down?

One of my all time faves.

Sam Mitchell, Jordan Lewis and Luke Hodge did NOT play their best footy for Hawthorn you dummy. Eagles, demons and the Lions is where they slayed the opposition midfields for years on end!
Oh of course, silly me Mitchell did when a Brownlow while at West Coast after all.

I hope we never do anything remotely close to what Essendon did to Dyson Heppell. Former captain comes out and retires and they wouldn't even give him a chance to play at home as a sub. Pathetic decision for a pissweak club. I've admired him from a far especially the way his had to answer for some of the bs the dons put him and the squad through.

IF you believe what their coach says...
“Dyson Heppell’s led our club through a really tumultuous period and it speaks to him again that he was very explicit about the fact that he knew it would be time for him to call time on his career when there were players ready and able to take his spot in the team,” Scott said on Fox Footy.

“He’s still available for selection. We’re still right in the hunt, so he’s training as hard as ever. But he’s really explicit about the fact that if there’s a player that’s performing in his spot then they should take that spot.”
