I may have missed some older posters, but I'm sure I'm the only one on here not born in the 80's or 90's. Still pretty interesting thread....especially the early stuff about thoughts on the USA. I've always liked talking to foreigners (either here or wherever) and see what they think of the US. I've been to Australia and though I never felt like I was really in a foreign country, there are a few things different that make it really interesting. Aussies I know here all seem to be in their 18th year of a 5-year experiment.....they seem to dig it.

Oh, and most people here hate LA/New York. And Vegas. Those are NOT real America. To see that, try Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix, KC, Dallas, Atlanta, Indianapolis. Not as glamorous, but more authentic. And a bit disturbing seeing Obama on a lot of dinner party lists. Dude's never had any experience other than being an activist. Total amateur.....and messing up the country...bad. But people are sheep. Better quit here...

Yeah...you're right, all those states in between are meaningless. Pffft.....brilliant. Well, I live here....and I've been to 43 of the 50 states (I'm guessing a few more than more you've been to) and most share my opinion. But I'll give you this: A lot like to visit NY/LA.....but sure as hell don't want to live there.

Sure, a lot of people don't want to live there--a meaningless point, given that a lot of people do want to live there.

Anyway, you said you like hearing what people think of the US, so I'm obliging. New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco >>>> Dallas, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Phoenix. Sorry.

Fair enough...you're the authority. All my questions about USA I'll direct to you. Thanks!
