Whichever club wins I respect Brisbane a lot, and think you are some of the best supporters on bigfooty. Unlike our loss to Geelong in 2022 I am not worried about Brisbane fans coming onto the Swans board and rubbing salt into the wound if we lose, and if the Swans win I will be very surprised and disappointed if any Swans supporters do the same here.

Our clubs will give it everything next Saturday, but I like that the supporter bases of both clubs respect each other. I hope for a quality contest (with the Swans eventually winning) :p

Fort has been in great form in the VFL.
I am hoping he performs well.

It must be remembered our 2nd half against Geelong largely without Oscar, that we were still able to perform so well.

With Fort in, and Joe forward (not having to ruck as much) our structure will be a lot better than the Prelim.

Yeah tbh if we were going to lose a tall from any line, ruck is the line I'd choose.

Of course we'd recover and be stronger again next year.

If we lose we deal with it.

Like many others I'm over the moon that we're there again. We've got the opportunity through hard work and resilience. Just give it our absolute best which we will and what will be will be.
If the Lions play at their best, Sydney will be comprehensively beaten.
With the fire in their bellies and motivation from last years loss, I can’t see any scenario where Brisbane simply won’t turn up.

One positive is that Oscar was a bit banged up by last GF day and that's not something we can say about Fort this year.

I also think it's somewhat helpful that we won't be tempted to run the gauntlet with a half fit Oscar if he ran out the game.

Absolutely shattered for Oscar though.

Sad for big O but Fort will have to play out of his skin on Saturday v Grundy.
Grundy averaging 18 disposals and 32 H/O this season
Forts recent VFL form has been pretty good. He just has to be completive for large parts of the game
Link for those that want a look at his stats

Fort only had 2 AFL games this year v Pies (R3) & Giants (R7) with both those games as losses
But we weren't playing well earlier in the year

The good thing is Fagan, Fort and the midfield have a week to plan

Yeah you'll be right, the email says Cat 1, Cat 2 and if available Cat 3, I think that implies that Cat 2 is guaranteed to get one basically.
Cat 1 is guaranteed. Cat 2 is effectively guaranteed based off the expected applications. Last year some tickets when all the way through Cat 3 and became available generally.

Ah Chee to play a role on Blakey, then pop up in kick 4 in the last
Blakey was a bit proppy after a contest at the end of the Friday game but given there hasn't been any more about it I assume he's fine.

Smith is too green, and a massive risk to be exposed. Fort comes in, and assuming all going well perhaps sub him for extra running legs in the third.

No reason to think this team will run out of legs. They’ve shown the last 2 weeks they’re a machine on a mission, we’re hardened, and know how to win.
I have no concerns with Fort coming in. He has been super impressive in the VFL for the last 4-6 weeks. He's primed. What a buggar for Oskar though. heart and soul player.

Howdy,

Desperate to get two extra tickets for GF for family, I have been told there will be left overs after initial allocation to members so if anybody if not using their membership codes would be extremely grateful if you could share them, won't give the full sob story but suffice to say it would mean a hell of a lot to them if they could be secured, thank you

I'll have more full thoughts on the matchup sometime this week (doubt I'm going to be super productive at work, lol), but I'm feeling a lot more confident than heading in to the last two finals, even though I think the Swans are the best team this year.

Midfield battle and defending ball movement are the two key things for me. If we force them to kick it long and go wide, then Harris eats it up and we get them on turnover. If their smalls aren't getting quick transition footy, and their mids aren't able to run forward in waves, then we'll have a great shot at restricting them.

Like us they had to fight back against GWS and that was a great comeback. I don't think Port Adelaide provided much fight at all, and even that one was barely more than a two goal game on expected score:
