Cannot wait until it's announced. A simple 'not to Gibbs' in that stupid thread will feel quite satisfying.I'm glad the cows didn't get their hands on him, you go onto their board the last few weeks and they were already printing up next years calendar with him in it, congrats people.
If the club has done everything right, I expect that Gibbs would take a paycut if the club turned around and said we were going after one of Patton/Cameron this year with the plan to go hard at Boyd next year.Gibbsy really loves us
You also should have written should have but who's counting?ok should of written re-signed and not resigned.
Maybe not metaphorically but I sure as hell ain't gonna stop you if you want to hurl an actual sink at his head.woah woah woah ... hold up ... does this mean that we can't throw the kitchen sink at Frawley?
After a long crappy day @ uni, this Gibbs news has made me smile.
Thanks Marc Shmurf 3
I can't wait until it's announced so that crap 20+ Page thread on the Adelaide board looks like the joke that it is.
To be fair, our track record with obtaining your players is pretty good.
Has a mate in 33.After last night's effort - good riddance. Softest player on our list by a country mile.
I'll just take the horse.Every week I change my mind as to whether or not I think Gibbs should stay. My kingdom for some consistency!
Re Gibbs, club is hoping to announce the he signed at the 150 year anniversary on June 14... All things tracking well for that date.
I thought he was OK actually. Our only decent passages of play seemed to involve him. Went missing a bit in the middle though. I didn't notice any specific instances where he was soft, butI was more interested in what I was writing by the end of the 1st quarter.
Great players just don't rock up to play when they feel like it.Worth keeping on big bucks,I'm not convinced yet....
Only because your track record at keeping your own players is bog average. Not hard to lure players with massive overs when you have cap space due to no one wanting to stick around. To be fair, our track record with obtaining your players is pretty good.
We need to keep Gibbs like we need to keep Yarran and Menzel. Anything else means we'll see more games like Collingwood, Melbourne and Essendon than WC, Bulldogs, Richmond and Port (first three quarters). Midfield can't afford to lose a player of his quality to gain a young KPP. We'll probably get a KPP if Gibbs stays. You'd only let a Gibbs go if we're confident of getting a Patton or another KPF who is ready to play.I am also changing my mind on Gibbs every game from " Let him to go " to " We should keep him " !!! Right now with the state of the list and where we are this season 2 Top 10 picks is more enticing than signing Gibbs on 700k+ a season.

What if Gibbs doesn't want that much? What if we can't afford them all if Gibbs wants $700k?
What if Gibbs doesn't want that much?
We'd know our projections with the cap increases and the veterans who won't go on forever. Wouldn't bring in Thomas if we couldn't afford to keep Gibbs.
