Did anyone see "Tuesdays with Terry" on the news tonight ?
thought i would bump this ...
Said that his only goal in coaching was to see the job through at Richmond.
He wants to be around when the Deledios were 25 ... when Trent Cotchin had 100 games under his belt .
Re-iterated that Richmond was his only coaching job and was not interested in ever starting again elsewhere .
unless he is a complete bullshit artist 80 ... answers a few of yours/our questions

He also said his tenure depends on making the finals next year. So we'll see if he's coaching and recruiting with an eye to when Deledio's 25 or when his contract comes up for renewal.

I ernestly believe that TW wants to make this work, he realises he damaged a bit of his cred last yearr with his hair brained long term projections, ever since then his ambitions and Richmonds have been entwined. I really hope he succeeds, we'll need a bit of luck but the direction is clear

Mate, not saying as things stand now he will walk. What I said and believe is that the club has a history of tearing itself apart, its already started, and the only way to stop it is to re-sign wallace or it will get worse.
1) See Patrick Smith's article this week which is already a thread on BF
2) Mike Sheehan on the couch last night said RFC are sounding out coaches
3) Caro already preparing the ground- said on Footy Classified last night we havent beaten anyone in the 8.... 3 times
4) Last week someone sounded out Hardwick according to BT
That's just 7 days for you.
This keeps up, and it will get to a point (as it always has in the past) that the only time RFC is talked about in the media is about who is the next coach. And you cant blame him for walking at that point. Just like you cant blame Northey who had the very same thing happen to him.

By the way, do you know how much Walls makes when you combine his gigs at Foxtel, 3AW, CH 10 and The Age?
I'd doubt he'd try that again...was he still contracted to dogs?..it would take a little while for TW to be warmly received back in media land I'm certain he wouldn't leave Punt rd of his own volition

i do see your point ... but we can`t make decisions now based on our f..k ups from the point of the re-appointment of Jewell through to Danny Frawley . The correction of that was made when we gave Wallace 5 years in the first place
Personally ...IMHO ... we will keep improving and Wallace will get an extension . The media will always speculate about us and put us to the sword . Look at the tripe about Clinton Casey today ...FFS ... LMAO @ that ... Next they will be dragging John Northey out of the cupboard for a quote
Point is he will get it (i hope) ... but he will have to work a little harder for this one , and not be given an extension on faith .
Let us not forget that the media are full of supporters of Essendon ,Carlton,Collingwood,etc.
So when they write an article about Richmond,do they have the clubs interests at heart?

I reckon we'll be making a mistake(getting rid of Wallace) but I guess it's best left to run out next year and see where we're at.

Walls is stupid pr.ick with NFI, who got lucky with a super carlton side that coached itself to a premiership. It never ceases to amaze that he still gets a gig as a commentator/writer, the guys knowledge of the game is laughable!
a lot like you if you are claiming hes a better coach than plough.

dude, the KPIs suggest you are wrong....i am on the KPI bandwagon big time. Nothing else matters but KPIs according to TW.
Dont get me wrong....Walls is the biggesgt ****ing imbecile going around, oops, sorry there is another that as yet they havent created the adjectives to describe him, he is that bad, Spud, but Walls coached a team to a premisership that was on auto pilot yes....isnt any different to our wins against teams that were losers.
But that was your prime concern a fortnight ago .
As far as the club tearing itself apart again .... that is my biggest concern and i am with you on that ...
you speak in emotions and insults and i speak in facts.
