Humphrey is an absolute bull at stoppages. Just dominated the contested stuff against two Cats players bumping one off a hard ball, collecting, breaking another Cats player tackle and dishing a handball off to a running teammate who kicked it inside 50 to set up a Burgess goal.

Just tuned in and am pleasantly surprised to see we're up by 44 points in the second quarter! The commentator just said Big Mac has been impressed in the backline and on cue he takes a contested marked in the D50. Have we finally got the key defender depth we so desperately need?!?!

Funny to hear the commentator singing the praises of Broadbeach/PBC and their ability to produce high quality junior. Even went as far as to say Broadbeach is like Queensland's version of the Calder Cannons haha.

Teams will be coming for Moyle pretty soon youd think

Surely would have been speaking with him for some time.

He’d be silly to leave with Witt’s in his 30s I’d think.

He’ll be an AFL ruckman in no time,

This is an absolute demolition. Hopefully a sign of things to come in the seniors!

Is Lloyd Johnston playing as a small forward? Are we trying to improve our depth in that area as well by swinging Lloyd forward?

Have we done the reverse and stifled our development in the VFL because our team is too good??

100 points up in the 4th quarter and our centre bounce line up was blakely, fiorini and constable.

I mean, why?

None of those guys is ever going to be a long term midfielder in the AFL team.

Is this really the right way to develop our youngsters?

Geez, hard to please some.
There is something to be said for earning your stripes and not being gifted midfield minutes when someone is more deserving. If u are made of the right stuff u will keep trying to eliminate your weaknesses and improve your intensity before u are rewarded opportunity.
If u are not made of the right stuff, we don’t want u..
Too many, pretty boys gifted too many opportunities is the hall mark of our disappointing first decade..
I like to think things are changing but nothing comes easy in this game..

Humphrey and Davies spent plenty of time in the middle. Learning multiple positions.

I was impressed by the limited play I saw.

I just think there is a balance between having all kids vs having no kids.

Good to have mature depth that could do a job if needing to step into the AFL.

I guess I’d prefer a young midfielder that has the potential to be a future AFL player rather than having both Anderson and Blakely.

What’s reassuring is that we’ve got young talented guys coming through in the academy.

You could argue on the other side of the coin and say building a winning culture
