Sensational is a bit dramatic :p

Serviceable is probably more apt ;)

Resting ruckmen is silly, with Dixon back in, they get to ease off a bit by playing 50-50 each. Rather than Dixon thrown in the deep end with 100% game, and then Nicholls with ANOTHER 100% ruck game. Plust we need 2 ruckmen against NicNat and Cox. Let them both play, drop Josh Hall.

Out: J.Hall, Sexton
In: Dixon, Swallow

I'd be tempted to drop Russel to the sub/NEAFL and let Sexton start for a whole game. Showed good signs in the limited time he had. Russel just seems not up to AFL standard yet. Of course that's just how I see it. :)

I have Russell not only top 22 but probably top 10. Really loving what he is doing

Hard to argue with that personally. Just depends on how spent Tommy is starting to feel I suppose.

I would probably not drop Sexton this week. I's send Bozzy back and let Sexton play a full game

Absolutely agree, however, he probably shouldn't have been played in the first place.

How do you figure? Had a string of stand-out games in the NEAFL. Obviously came in for injury, but he earned his senior recall I think. It would be a bit harsh to drop him after that I would have thought. Unlucky really, but there's only a certain amount of spots.

I just mean if Swallow wasn't injured, and some other boys like Lonergan, Risch etc. weren't injured, he wouldn't even be in contention I don't reckon?

Wasn't even looked at surprisingly.

Lucky man, especially after a similar incident in the NAB Cup. It's good for the team though, I think he is starting to cement a spot. Would like to see a little more output from him, especially up forward but that will come with time.

I'm not sure how you could drop Sexton. His attitude when coming on with only 10 minutes to go was sensational. He did everything you could possibly want from someone in that position to be.
Not sure what else you would expect from a 19yr old with 10mins to go? I don't see praise in that. He did his job and was given a small opportunity to have a run when 40 other blokes on the field were exhausted. Probably a case of first in first out for me unless there is injuries for Sexton to retain his spot. Just my opinion :)

MRP confuses the shit out of me, so does that mean he wont miss any games?
100 points = 1 game suspension.

93 means he only needs to pick up 7 on an additional offence (No idea what the least amount of points possible is... Maybe 3 points for looking at an umpire funny?)

I'd rather keep Sexton and give him a run rather than keep Aaron Hall out there half dead it seems.

Going to be at this game, extremely excited coming from Perth for first time at Metricon! Just wondering about how to get to the ground? Remember seeing a very detailed thread but couldn't find it.

Pending any injuries and other suspensions (i'm gonna say Bozzy is almost a certain week or two) i'd be hesitant to make many changes

In: Dixon, Swallow
Out J-Hall, Boston (susp)

If Brown goes too, which I don't think will happen i'd be tempted to bring Gilbee in for him. Been doing a few decent things in recent weeks.

There were a few decent players in the NEAFL who could possibly have had their hands up for selection on any other week, but coming of possibly the best game in our history I don't think it's gonna happen.

C'mon SUNNIES. Back to back against 2 of the "Big 4" :thumbsu:

Great to have Dixon and Swallow back. Love watching "the beard" play.

Could have done a Chris Yarran and sulked about his lack of game time. Instead he busted his ass finding space and taking the game on.

Heard Swallow may miss another week with that knee , got the feeling there maybe no changes this week or at the very least one.

absolutely. unless form on the paddock, or lack of it is reflected on the paddock, you keep em on there. cricket has finally worked that out. the old ways are tried and tested.
