Honestly whats different from Dew? We beat s**t teams at home, win at Darwin and are completely useless every other week.
I can see a difference. But not consistently.

Like, we don’t have a gameplan today. No control off half back. No uncontested ball. No movement and chaining. No midfield stoppage effect. No connection. Poor match ups.

Completely outplayed by the players on the park OR out-coached, however you want to spin it.

Feels the damn same to me, we have a gameplan when we win but nothing when we lose. Same shit, different coach. No leadership from the midfield

Carlton have stopped whatever plan we have. It is obvious that we can’t get any control across the ground.

in fairness, it’s hard to see a plan if mids barely touch it.

No plan B when it doesn't go our way. Literally no change after half time, just running our head into a brick wall over and over. Clearly getting smashed in the midfield, so let's keep rolling out the same 3 blokes who can't get near it.

Hasn’t looked at the CBA, but Davies and bear have both been there.

But yes, could be more creative there. The problem is when they are good, they are good. So coaches back them in.

Maybe Swallow? No Flanders did impact our ability to make a change there.

Expected result to most of the football world. Just the way we looked was horrific

Backing the bombers in next week. Yet to turn up to a big game

Yet another test failed. 75% of the team completely invisible. Need some serious questions asked of what our leaders do when we are under pressure. Because Touk, Noah and Rowell folded like lawn chairs today.

Feels a bit like when Brisbane we’re getting smashed in clearances and traded in Dunkley

I'm sorry but how in Johnston getting a game. Atkins was a no brainer for this game especially with all our drive off HB out

On SM-A546E using BigFooty.com mobile app
He was hardly the worst offender. At least he didn’t just bomb it forward.

And Johnston played forward/wing, where Atkins is HB.

Atkins would take Sexton’s spot, at best. Honestly, Atkins is an attacking winger or nothing in my eyes. He is not a defender at the top level and never will be.

Also, I think Holman, Berry, Swallow and Long can’t all be on the same team. Just different stages of the same player. Pick two and make one sub.

No-one stands up when it's needed. Every time without fail, peaheartery on show again. Touk was someone who wanted to be captain and basically asked for the responsibility, didn't turn up at all. Incredibly frustrating result.

Yeah I hate it, no easy fix.

All our leaders are young. Need some pissed off vet to come in and show the way

Pretty much as predicted in the end. It’s game like these that remind you that this season Hardwick really is just feeling this squad out and learning what challenge is in front of him over the next couple of years.

Thought Long was good again playing like an undersized target and being the only one giving King a hand in that area.

Mac is probably in our top 5 most important players already.

I’ll save it for the doomsday thread, but that’s 5 losses for the year now and 4 of them have been in the exact same fashion. We get stood up to early and our midfield and leaders completely crumble and leave it to the rookies and fringe players. We are a mentally weak, one-way, coddled group, and that isn’t something that just changes with experience.

Flanders was a huge loss, let’s hope he’s back next week, Walter needs a spell in the 2s, bring in Day, the guy is in great form, he will get 2 or 3 goals every week and he’s our obvious 2nd ruck. Davies in the ruck was laughable.
Mac is a superstar and our most important player. Rosas will be very handy when he’s back.
