He was our best at the start of the season when both Crouch were injured in a 6 game stretch.
To really change you need to be willing to start again.
Its like the AFC is so scared of being perceived as going through a rebuild that they will do everything in their power to avoid it.
They will point to Sydney, Hawthorn and Geelong as sides that in recent years have not needed to rebuild, but cannot see how deluded this comparison is considering the elite quality and premierships these sides have had. When you combine elite quality with premierships you create a winning and ruthless mentality that younger players can follow.
All we do is pass on the scars to the next generation.

People bagging Tex need to attend a game and watch from behing the goals.
The number of times just in the first quarter he lead well or made good space and the idiots kicking into our 50 either didn't see him or when they did see him the kick missed by miles. It was bloody diabolical.
We DO NOT know how to kick to the forwards advantage, Jenkins or Tex leading we kick it high over or on their heads so they need to stop and prop - kick it low i front so they can keep running.
When we are behind the backman wanting a long high ball we kick it short so they backman can unonto it for a chest mark.
A mixture of poor kicking skills and poor COACHING/STRUCTURES.

Our coaches box is where all our issues are coming from, we want to get it over the back, but it ain’t working coz there’s no targets to kick it to, there’s space to lead into, but the forwards aren’t getting there, because they want to take of towards goal. Gonna be a long season I feel. Jenkins has to be dropped, he refuses to atleast attempt to play in front, it’s embarrassing for such a big fast bloke to always be beaten to the ball. So disappointed with our first 2 home games

It was discussed at length when it happened. He was told to look for another job when the assistants needed to be told in August as per the guidelines. Next thing we knew he was announced as our Forwards Coach. It was hard to believe then, it's hard to believe now.
We probably win with Cameron tonight. Not so much 4 goals but the goals he would have kicked would have would have prevented some of Geelong's rebounds.
Fair point in hindsight, but if he had walked because of that how would he have been viewed?

I've watched him behind the goals for 5 years getting progressively slower, poorer below his knees and less of a presence.
I love the bloke, but he's staring over the edge of a cliff.

Why as the club would you change anything, when our fan base is so delusional that people actively fought against playing our most talented junior because we were supposedly in premiership winning mode, and had to instead prioritise C grade senior players.

If Brouch kicks that goal we hit the front for the first time since early 1st Term.
With no Geelong player within 4 metres of him he blazes, misses.
Geelong rebound, nail the goal and then kick another quick goal. Momentum over, heads down, game over.
ROB's ootf from 25 metres out in Q3 was similarly dreadful. A heartbreaking spirit-killer.
(btw, I think Brouch is a gun and misses like his totally mystify me --- elite players from the best teams kick those goals)

Bickley did the same 'tick, tick, tick' routine last week.
The only way we'd be able to get to 6-2 is if we actually rejuvenated our side by bringing in Fog, McHenry, Greenwood and Stengle for instance for underperforming key players. We won't do that and so we'll stay completely stale.
