It's almost like we've delivered a further 15 years of continuous failure since then, and in that time the club has repeatedly s**t on its 'pathetic' fans who should 'go and support another club'. I'm glad your memory stretches far enough to remember that I was a kid that loved the club enough to organise cheersquads in my own time- and that was what we got in return.

Reality doesn't alter itself to fit your preferred outlook.
What a small minded, bitter man child you've grown into.

If you become more negative than positive in life, best to find something that makes you happy... quick!

Personally I exercise to clear the head.

If I can't hear the birds making noises, I know my head is full of too much crap... & need to chill more.

After losing some interest in AFL, have been gaining some back this year with how our young side is progressing.

The biggest positive of the season for me has been the development of Rachele. There was a real possibility he would have second year blues and development would stagnate.

Instead he has come out and it's basically our starting ruck-rover getting a lot of ball out in open space because of his speed.
Once he learns how to get 30D regularly (probably give him 20-30 games) and coaches drum into him to lower his eyes and look side to side for the best option he is going to be an absolute jet.
Think Gary Ablett junior.
Don't get to happy, according to Southerntakeover he will be going to Collingwood.....lol.

what do you expect Darcy to do when you have a flog on top dry humping you
With Fog & Muzza at opposite ends, we have 2 guys who will fly the flag...

If you can’t hear the birds making a noise check you’re not in China

I've said it all year, Pedlar is Garry MacIntosh reincarnated with pace.
I would have said a cross between Hodge & Macintosh.

Think we are all excited he is a genuine talent now - touch wood - he is playing injury free.

We haven't even see him go into the midfield yet to really turn it on. I suspect next year or perhaps later this season?

Really liking we now have midfielders who can do damage forward, giving us better depth in our rotations.

Yep I don't think too many of us think we played all that well today, a bit of credit needs to go to Hawthorn for that but there's lots of room for improvement. It does feel like people have moved from 'we are a bottom 4 side' to immediately expecting top 4 performances week in week out. Reality is we are going to play poorly sometimes and the odds of that occurring is always higher on away games.

At least we come away with the points ahead of more tough matches.
Exactly, the fact that we actually were poorer team and still won is a positive in itself

He does stomach punches.

The exciting thing is he’s got levels to go still

Can see him kicking 6 in a game within a year then having some dominant mid minutes within 2 years

And yes he’s a bull in petracca mode ( or Macca ) despite people trying to argue against it in pre season

Not as strong as Macca in close but I can certainly see a lot of similarities

Not alot of things on Macca

Eg consistency , ball winning , in tight handball reflex, footy brain / IQ etc etc

But he’s like a raw version that’s not as advanced football ability wise

Bit athletically - quicker and will take more hangers than Macca

As opposed to the lurking old man that keeps trying to get personal with someone that doesn't care about them on a message board?

How does this weird following shit end in your mind?

I think that’s the best thing from losing the crouches out of our midfield , Matt and Brad both at their best very good players but rob team of versatility

Now we can rotate and rest guys forward and build deeper more dynamic midfield

What I like is if one of our guys is having an exceptional day then he gets more midfield minutes

See the comparisons re mid minutes last few weeks , Soligo was the guy this week and therefore played longer time in there

While we're chucking around names....

Against a side that has owned us for the past 30 years, a win over Collingwood even at home would be big.
Siren-gate... part 2.

Memorable 1st Thursday game at Adelaide Oval.

The night one you are talking about was a year or two earlier.. Hawks were in the lead in the last minute.. at the bounce the ball went into the Crows forward line and a Hawk player just grabbed it stood upright and just waited literally 2-3 seconds holding the ball tight to his chest waiting for a tackle..
If memory serves, it was worse than this - hawks player first went to handball, then pulled it tight to his chest waiting for the tackle. He literally demonstrated that he had prior!
