Are you expecting 2nd year players who didn't play full time mid in their 1st year to play the entire season as full time mid lol? Berry's form has been s**t before getting dropped to the SANFL with his form staying s**t and only gaining some of his last year form in the last 4 weeks or so. Agree on Schoenberg, his form in the SANL should have gotten him more AFL games as a starting mid instead of being the sub which he is getting now.
Can you not read?

I said that I get that they (Soligo and Rachele) can't take a full year in there.

The problem is replacing them with Sloane.

He is s**t. Can't run, can't kick, can't handball.

Move the f on

It's a new generation
Wtf... have you even watched any game since Crouch has returned?

This is the worst post on this thread by a mile!

It's really not. If all games are won by the favourites for the rest of the season we will finish 8th.
Think there would be less than a 5% chance of that happening!

Didn't Carlton have a lot of honourable losses last year which meant they just missed out on the Finals but started this year looking like a top 4 contender then went on a losing streak and is now on a winning streak and one of the form teams heading into Finals? It's all part of the process of building a list to contend for the premiership.
Brisbane in their last year of being bad before rocketing up the next year

This area obviously has the most development opportunity - which is encouraging.
Pedlar, Rachele and Soligo. An area to really look forward to next year

Pedlar will probably get a little less midfield time that Rachele and Soligo got this year as he is working from a way back compared to them in their 2nd year but I'm expecting Rachele and Soligo who started very well in the first 2 months as full time midfielders a lot more next year.

It really isn't. Matt Crouch is not a gun Midfielder.

He is an average workhorse who might have some value in a rebuilding side full of youngsters.

People wanting us to re-sign Crouch must love finishing 6-8th every year.

Anyone who thinks Matt Crouch is a premiership midfielder in 2024 (7 years after his yellow jacket), needs to rethink what a top notch midfield really looks like.
9 clearances, 4 centre clearances not only a team high but a game high, 33disposals, 29 effective, 87.9% disposal efficiency, 7 score involvements, game high 17 contested possessions, 5 tackles

That’s horrible that our 2 best and experienced mids have kicked 9-22

Especially such an elite kick as Dawson
Dawson's kicking for goal both on the run and set shot has deteriorated as the year went on. Hopefully he resets over preseason as we need him kicking goals.

I take it you didn't watch him play in 2017 when he made AA as a midfielder and won the B&F during a Grand Final year.......
You mean 7 years ago?

For anyone reading, that's right, next year will be the 7th year since we've made finals, but yep, Matt Crouch, A grade Midfielder, definitely worthy of a re-signing.

Terrible call.

Crouch has been one of our best since his return to the side.

Pretty easy call to make seeing as he's literally been one of 4 midfielders that include Rory Sloane.
What has Sloane got to do with Crouch?

Dawson was with Sloane too... so are you going to get rid of him too?

Bizarre reasoning.

Lol stats have never been Crouch's problem.

Though I know you struggle to understand impact from possession, which is why you champion underskilled deadset crabs but dunk on skillful footballers played out of position getting lower possessions.

I look forward to your trademark thumbsdown.

We don’t need all our midfielders to be A grade - you need a broad range.

Now the bigger issue, do we resign both Sloane or Crouch? I dread what is likely to happen.

But have you noticed him constantly giving handball not to the advantage of his team mate.... ;)
