So Crouch is better than Dawson now?

You'd be the only person in Australia (besides Mutineer aka Bicks) who thinks that.
Show me where I said this?

Serious question - are you drunk tonight?

This post makes no sense at all

Perhaps I didn't explain it correctly. It's easy to be one of our best mids when you're being compared to Rory Sloane and your young promising midfielders are playing hff or sub.

Anyone who thinks we've gone through 4 years of a rebuild just to put Matt Crouch and Rory Sloane back in our midfield needs their head checked.

He's not, but Crouch has been better than Dawson the last three weeks, I'd say. Certainly I'd say Crouch is basically undroppable at this point, he's been fantastic. You'd drop Laird before Crouch at this stage.

We don’t need all our midfielders to be A grade - you need a broad range.

Now the bigger issue, do we resign both Sloane or Crouch? I dread what is likely to happen.
Clearly Sloane is sadly cooked & the club need to make a call on his career.

Crouch on the other hand is playing very good football on his return.

It's no contest which one we choose to keep.

Not to mention but there’s a 5 year age gap between the two. Club needs to make a call on his playing future this weekend and call time. While Crouch (if he wants to stay) gets another contract

Lol stats have never been Crouch's problem.

Though I know you struggle to understand impact from possession, which is why you champion underskilled deadset crabs but dunk on skillful footballers played out of position getting lower possessions.

I look forward to your trademark thumbsdown.
You do you.... Clueless

Crouch has been a massive contributor since he came back into the AFL team....he's not the problem, Sloane is the problem and any fair minded supporter would agree.

Its hilarious how these morons running our club are on the cusp of saying “seeya“ to crouch and signing up Sloane for another year!!..

just how fxxkn dimwitted would you need to be to even consider doing this at this current point in time.. given what we’ve all seen in the last few weeks.

and McAdam.. what the fxxk are we doing there?.. why has this lad not been signed up yet?.. surely he hasnt been offered some massive contract to go elsewhere?.. he’s been out injured/suspended most of the year.. no other club wouldve made him a massive offer.

some will be making enquiries now though..

but how have we not locked him away?… were we too busy getting the Murphy deal done?.. have we spend all our money on murph instead?.

this club is so fxxkn strange. Its fascinated with locking in fxxkn ordinary players whilst dragging its feet over locking in talent.

McAdam is a fxxkn gun.. and geez I love how he brings some pain on the opposition when he chases them down.

Really liked Worrells and Keanes games in defence today...
Our defence as a whole stood up really well and has done since we lost Murray and Butts.

The only one you could say was beaten was MM, and that was just one quarter.

Keane has especially been a real find and will negate the loss of Murray for most of next season. Anyone watching the SANFL could tell he has it with his positioning, reading of play and smarts.

Funny considering you just disappear from a discussion whenever your calls turn out to be incorrect.

I'll happily eat humble pie when Matt Crouch is a part of a premiership winning crows side.

But I guarantee you'll put me on ignore the second the ball doesn't bounce your way and I call you out on it.

Matt Crouch's resurgence as a real contributor to the team is a strange hill to die on....I doubt to many fair minded supporters would agree with you even those that have potted him in the past.

You probably won't have to worry anyhow because there will be team's out there now willing to give him a contract just like Tom Mitchell is still a big part of the Pies being in contention. There is still a place for 1st possession mids in the AFL if surrounded by the right teammates.

As Blighty said “first you have to play in close games, then you start winning them”. We turned Adelaide oval back into a bit of a fortress this year… tick. Next year it’ll be winning close away games!

Agree that MM was beaten in that quarter but this kid is going to be something very special...he will continue to learn and improve with more time spent playing on the oppositions best forwards...just love the way he takes the game on and attacks at every opportunity...one of our best picks in many years

Didn't Carlton have a lot of honourable losses last year which meant they just missed out on the Finals but started this year looking like a top 4 contender then went on a losing streak and is now on a winning streak and one of the form teams heading into Finals? It's all part of the process of building a list to contend for the premiership.

In their rebuilds they invested in their midfield, we haven't spent a top 10 pick on a midfielder yet.

We're nearly at the end of year 4 of our rebuild and we are playing Sloane, Laird, Crouch and Dawson as our main 4 midfielders. Thank goodness Dawson talked Nicks into moving him in there otherwise we would still have Keays as a mid.

I agree with Anzacpaul that a primary midfield rotation of Dawson, Laird and Crouch isn't good enough to win a flag. Screams St Kilda, or North under Brad Scott.

It also runs the risk of limiting development for players with a chance of being superior to Laird/Crouch, like Pedlar, Rachele and Soligo.

If we're to keep Crouch we should trade Laird
