I'm afraid to say it...but injuries are catching up with him...and quickly.

Was my first thought too. Won't make 400 games now. End comes quickly sometimes.

Amazingly I can't believe I'm saying this but it's actually not the end of the world. I'm always a bit sad when an absolute champion like Goodes one day starts to slow down often with injuries naturally starting to occur more often through nothing more than the body saying "hey, I've been put through a bit old timer, time to slow it down a notch". I don't believe for 1 second he doesn't have a couple of really good quality years left in him. I just do not want to see the end of his career largly injury interrupted.

As Horse said, there are good positives to take away. Hopefully Goodesy will be smashing it come finals.

Meh, if we can't win those games without Goodes, we have no business challenging for the flag at years' end. Richmond is the only one where I reckon he'd be really handy. Maybe the Pies.

Goodes has already played 331 games.. Only needs 69 games to hit 400.. So possibly 3 seasons left and he might be able to knock it off and plus he's what 33. Bartlett and Tuck both made 400 at around 37 years old..

All depends on how much more Goodes will put his body through.

He'll make 350 no doubt, but I think playing another 70 games is a bit much.

Disappointing...however if the 6 week delay is correct for once, he could be back for finals which could be a huge boost...although he took a little while to get going when he got back from injury last year, different injury and hopefully won't be the case this time around.
Jetta and Reid become really important now (if they get back anytime soon) need them to find good form quickly, this time around.

After many injury-free years, his body's starting to struggle a bit. I'd love to see him play for a couple more years. However, I can see him and Jude calling a team meeting to say ...

"Guys, we're both retiring at year's end. C'mon. Let's win another flag."

I'd be happy with that.

Bugger! Hopefully we can go ok while he's out, lock in a top 4 spot and get him back into the side before finals.

Maybe a new "Mr September"? ;)

Same operation (arthroscopy/key hole) as LRT had. Let's hope the prognosis ends up better than Lewie's has.

I actually had the same operation around the same time as LRT. I'm playing social indoor cricket now, but couldn't play a game of footy just yet. For minor surgery, it actually takes a bit of time to settle down...mainly because of the deep scarring.

Speaking of LRT, any news on how he is travelling. He'd be a handy inclusion.

LRT's return seemingly is no clearer than Rohan's right now.

I looked like I was going to have to have arthroscopy too according to my physio. Turns out I'llbe having a knee reconstruction in a month instead. Herp physio derp.
