I haven't read the OOB v Demons thread but I'm curious to know why you felt the Demons flat
It sounds a bit like both given the discussion over the last pageIs this an opposition MVP vote thread, or a match thread post mortem thread?

We've only ever had extremely positive reviews, my friend. Not even Ned_Flanders would call us vanilla!Amazing, the furor sparked by nothing more than my simple observation "decent fun, got kinda flat now and then."
I apparently poked a sore spot.
Beginning to suspect mine wasn't the first similar observation of the MBD.
this mindset is exactly where I get frustrated."Flat" is a mostly quantitative measure, certainly more in proportion to post count than the subjective "quality" chimera in which iron jockeys take refuge when their inactivity flatness is identified.
Neopolitan maybe? We've only ever had extremely positive reviews, my friend. Not even Ned_Flanders would call us vanilla!
I'm pretty good, aren't I?this mindset is exactly where I get frustrated.
Quality is difficult to define (this thread is trying to do so by having the opposition decide who offered the most in the thread) but the idea that someone should be called out for not posting a lot is bollocks. Same as someone who posts a lot being automatically considered spammy is equally bollocks.
The Roys v Gumbies thread this week had a pretty low post count, but was for my part, a pretty fun thread that I really liked.
Some posters can really add to a thread with 10 or 15 posts Dory_77 for the Gumbies is a good example, other posters can continually post over a 100 times a thread and never seem to over take it or seem too much Tonga Bob is a good example.
One or two posters dominating can really reduce the activity of others or drown people out, this happens all the time.
My point is and has always been, that the focussing on how many posts a person makes is a horrible measure, it is not taking refuge.

So out of interest, what do you mean by flamed out and been ridiculous? If a couple of your posters hadn’t flamed out and been ridiculous, you just might find the thread would have been different.
i think manangatang is describing how you played on Sunday BonoSo out of interest, what do you mean by flamed out and been ridiculous?
My Qootball is now so irrelevant, I am not sure he noticed if I was even out there.i think manangatang is describing how you played on Sunday Bono
Congratulations to both DERO and sante for the three votes!Rd 3 OOB v Semons
I only got back from my Chancellors trip around the country visiting OOB members with Mrs Turbo on Saturday and to our surprised we rocked up to Mt Buller in all our ski gear to discover the Mt Buller snow caps had melted and the ski lifts weren't working, very disappointed that Mt Buller seemed to be closed down.
However Mrs Turbo and I did enjoy Saturday night sitting around the fire with the remaining OOB players and being entertained by story's of wild drunken nights, epic melts, fallen comrades, good v evil and the rise of despotism.
I cant speak for the whole week, but for game day I did enjoy the interaction with the following demons who engaged with me in fun qooty banter.
3. DERO
2. Hate
3. sante
I couldn't split them
Im speaking generally and not on the demons v OOBs thread. You shouldn't let other people get the best of you like that, Goosey.
"Flat" threads are marked by periods of inactivity and lethargy. Boring. We Ophidians filled that gap with sparkling, witty banter. The match thread became a seamless extension to our S35 team thread.
If you don't believe me, you are perfectly capable of navigating to the thread and seeing for yourself.
It's quite noteworthy that all this bleating about "spamming" comes from posters who've never actually looked at the match thread in question. Oh, and the OOB opposition, of course.
I'll be able to tell you after we've played themAmazing, the furor sparked by nothing more than my simple observation "decent fun, got kinda flat now and then."

Have a look at half your team's wearing Nooks avatars. I don't see what point you lot are trying to make with that.So out of interest, what do you mean by flamed out and been ridiculous?
Just let people enjoy themselves if they want to post a lot or not, it's when they have go at the other they should be called out, your last point above is absolute frogshit, some very good posters on here post plenty and I'm sure they are not thinking the more i post the better i am.Im speaking generally and not on the demons v OOBs thread.
the reason the mindset frustrates me is that it leads to behaviours that make the league worse of people think they have to post heaps to be good, which is what happens a lot.
Are the Bombers going soft, while i was there they always backed their own, you better do a bit of history mate.Have a look at half your team's wearing Nooks avatars. I don't see what point you lot are trying to make with that.
Trying to paint him as a SFA martyr or something ? He did the wrong thing and copped a whack. I'm sure he'd be
the first to admit that.
Wow. This is how I learn you are no longer a demon. A whole season after you left.
