Got to love the Jimmy

It's great that we have so many courageous midfield types (Bartel, Corey, Ablett).

Then we have the smooth types (Kelly, Enright) to finish their hard work.

Good combination.

Mark Williams (hawks) followed by Bartel as the best overhead mark pound for pound. He constantly jumps straight up, flat footed with someone baring down and comes out with the pill.

All hail Jimmy The Great!!!

He was my pre-season tip for Geelong's brownlow chances.
I think he polled about 13 votes from 12 games last year???
Thought he might get noticed a bit more this year, but hasn't had the kind of year that gets you brownlow botes...just respect from teammates :)

Has a great ability to kick from a standing start too, several times I've seen him drop it straight onto the boot froom 55 meters and seen it sail through, not everyone can do that... definitely one the Cats need to hold on to!

A real hard nut as tough as anyone going around (just ask Glenn Archer when he tried to take him on and got wrapped up by him). Agree with Rodion will win a brownlow with Geelong (hopefully this year!) :D

Been on the James/Jimmy bandwagon since he first ran out in the Number 3 jumper in 2002.

Best game for the year and if it is anything like last year he'll keep getting better and better from here on in.

Well , here we are in 06 , and I sill recken , more than ever,
you just got to love the Jimmy

Heard on Fox a comment on his stats , "The best contested midfielder mark in the AFL". I just wonder if this value was understood at the 2001 draft, to me it makes him a very valuable commodity and probably should have been much earlier than P8 even if it was 2001.

I know Jimmy bargins hard at contract time , I know he can frustrate us when we see other sign so willingly but when he marks like he did against Voss he is worth what ever we are paying him.

My sentiments, exactly. He's a gem.
