They probably can't but if they were 100% happy at Euroa they would'nt have left in the first place. They might be average in the eyes of the Euroa football club but thats not the case in our eyes. Besides if they are considered average then what is the big deal with them leaving..

The main reason they left (hobbs, gleeson) was due to unemployment, you would find and Violet Town Football club are their only employment. Don't head down the track of not been happy, remember they did come back to Euroa at the start of the year (hobbs-violet town, gleeson-rushworth) when they did have employment...amazing what a few hundred does :thumbsu:

Didn't know you had the internet on out at Strugglers Flat Cocko.

When Hobbs left VT early in the season he was unemployed, I should know as I employed him.

We do not employ them but, Yes we do offer them incentives - And yes they do put their incentives back into the club at our well attended functions.

And yes they have headed down the happy track - And yes they are impressed(NOT) by the way Euroa have made them feel welcome if they did ever decide to go back.

haha sam sam sam the main reason we left is because the club is shiiit. Blokes there think they have played 200 games of AFL when they haven't, we weren't enjoying our footy and in the end footy is all about finals and that is what WE are going to play. If we wanted money we could of went somewhere else not vt. Its a great club, the blokes are awesome and we love it their. I wonder if puta coached this year for nothing seems that the club is struggling financially. All the vt coach's coach for zero dollars FOR THE LOVE OF THE CLUB. When we were at euroa we didn't have emplyment so wrong again barto....dont worry about what everyone else is doing use have enough problems of your own on the field.

Spoke with both boys Saturday and they are very happy at VT, also said they wont be venturing back to Euroa any time soon to play football, this would appear that they are not happy with the Euroa footy Club ,your loss our gain one would think:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

What are the Shep Swans and Echuca teams looking like this week. Should be a ripper game. I live in Melb and was thinking of going to watch.

Should be a cracking game this one. Swans have been in great form of late while Echuca have been unconvincing. Have heard that Echuca's injuries are mounting and a couple of there stars may be out for a while. After hearing this I'm going to back the Swans. The slower wetter conditions seem to suit their style of play.
The other massive game of the round is Ky Vs United under lights at Ky. The winner pretty much guaranteed a top 2 spot so it will be a finals like game. Mansfield V Tat is also interesting, if Mansfield win Rochy will need to beat Echuca in the last round to make it. That would be a game worth watching between the old enemies. I think Tat will do Rochy a huge favour and knock off the injury depleted Eagles.

I hope they win the last couple and make the finals just for Hair, He's been a great servant of the Bulldogs and deserves to finish up his coaching stint with a couple of good wins. Super bloke and great to see him stick through thick and thin over there at Bulldog land.:thumbsu:

Kyabram 168 52 - United (h) Tat (a)
United 162 52- Ky (a) Shepp (h)
Echuca 147 52 - swans (h) Rochy (a)
Mooroopna 147 48 - seymour (h) swans (a)
Swans 124 44 - echuca (a) moor (h)
Rochy 108 32 - shepp (a) Echuca (h)
Mansfield 102 32 - tatura (h) Benalla (a)

Hard not to get excited by the games over the next fortnight that could do some shaping of the ladder
Kyabram & United one should finish on top as neither should lose there last round matches, if echuca wins both one could drop to 3rd
Echuca has the hardest finish, anything could happen here could finish as high as 1st if ky and united lose last round or finish as low as 5th if the swans boosted there %
Mooroopna similar to Echuca with 2 tough games seymour wont be easybeats could finish as high as 2nd or low as 5th
Swans could finish as high as 3rd or stay 5th playing against 2 sides higher then them on the ladder another tough run home
Rochy must win every game if mansfiedl keep winning games against echuca will continue or end rochys season
Mansfield must win every game if rochy keep winning needs %boosting wins

Whats everyones thoughts, looking forward to the weather getting better and seeing some good GVFL footy

Pessimist in my says Rochy will miss out on finals. Cant win with so many outs and I beleive up to 11 this week. I think there may be a comeback game for Tank McPhee and Steve Ras as dont have enough players left to come in to cover losses.
Would be an extraordinary effort to make it but would be no good in finals and out first week I reckon if they could make it. Dont be surprised if Shepp have a run at them this week.

A big thumbs up to Russell Robertson and Nathan Brown for having a kick with a group of youngsters after the game:thumbsu: at Echuca:thumbsu: Did anyone see the Ky/united game?

Yeah saw this game Ringo and was an absolute cracker. Played in front of a massive crowd and with a finals like atmosphere. Was an arm wrestle all night with several momentum shifts. United probably had the better of the first half but Ky looked more dangerous when going forward. Ky dominated the 3rd quarter there tackling pressure was as good as its been all year. The game could have gone either way and both sides will be confident that they can beat the other next time around. The ground was very heavy at Ky, hopefully we get some better weather before finals. Do we have confirmation of finals venues yet?
How are Echucas injuries looking Ringo, who are you getting back for finals?

Yeah and they also signed heaps of kids jumpers, records etc in the rooms as well. Also had photos taken with some fans. This is common for them and on the ground they give tips to their opponents and are only too willing to talk to their opponents after the game, which is good for country footy.:thumbsu:

so who will end up where after next week?

Mooroopna and Swans 4th and 5th, play each other this week and will play each other in elim final.

Rochie and Echuca play each other this week and if Rochie wins will play each other in elim final week later. if Rochie lose may still be a chance for 6th if Eagles lose

Benalla vs Mansfield at Benalla, benalla could nearly be favourites the form they are in, at home and with Mansfield's injury list could go either way.

Utd have an easy one while Ky have a hard one against Tat at Tat. Ky lose they could still drop to 3rd

Top 6 in order, Ky, Utd, Echuca, Mooroopna, Swans and Mansfield but not with al ot of confidence

I don't think Ky can drop to 3rd place. Their percentage is 17% higher than Uniteds. I'm not exactly what the equation is but it would have to pretty hard to make up that sort of gap in one game.
Will be interesting to see how the Swans V Cats game goes. Will coaches be keen to go flat out and get the upper hand in confidence or will they go down the line of getting through the gaame unscathed and leaving a little in reserve for the one that counts.

Does anyone know where the finals will be played, surely the league knows by now.

the % gap is only 7%, and with Utd playing Bears they could have a big win and any loss to Ky will drop their % so it will be line ball between the two.

Cant c kyabram losing to tat. Ky have lost 1 game since round 2. Echuca should get the job done against rochy and keep 2nd spot. United will belt bears. Mooroopna will beat the swans in the last round and the elim final. Mansfield to beat the saints and get 6th spot.
