I think your right . They did choke . Didn't flow the plan that got them there. Wasn't any pressure. Just ran like chooks with their heads cut off . But the g is too big for the Ross Lyon defensive plan. Works on small or narrow grounds. 0-4 says so

The last time a team from the west played their first grand final they had a lot of late hype behind them but ultimately had a bit of stagefright and lost the GF, to Hawthorn.

The year after that they won the premiership.

Yeah that's it. Balla is such a hype driven player, but I think he ODed today, he was terrible. Fyfe was good, but even he was playing in a panicked state and when he had to settle to kick on goal, or clear a pack. He was kicking it like a blind mule.

We'll be better for this loss in some ways ... it's just whether we can get there again, it's so bloody tough.

To be honest that was really pathetic. We deserve all the criticism we get.

Still lots to take from the year and it's a positive that we played so shit and were still in the game.

Absolutely. We got some crap calls, early especially, but we just couldn't handle it when it counted most. And some players just never settled (Balla even Fyfe despite his great first half).

Umps nothing to do with it I'm affraid
