The other thing which piqued my interest today was this response from a question from CursingFijian about whether you can protect someone else. Now villagers needed to read the OP to work this out, so you could read this as:

• CF didn’t immediately know (so wasn’t told beforehand)
• MC indicating that he wasn’t told beforehand by pointing to the OP.

A lot of assumptions going on here though!

If you have a GUN you have to choose a kill target on or before your nominated night
If you are MAFIA you need to agree up on your kill target for it to be valid
