Then surely, given the inuendo, the club says, "Jack will not be attending tonight due to personal reasons" or something along those lines. To not attend tonight is a very bad sign.
The fact that he wasn't going to attend came out hours ago. There's been more than enough time to clarify the situation if he had a legitimate reason to not be there.

Sorry for wanting to give the kid the benefit of the doubt. I absolutely hate it when you guys tear any of them to shreds. Why not wait before you know the facts before turning on him? If for no other reason, what happens if you are all wrong? How will you feel then?
