I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, but after seeing GWS absolutely demolish the Swans - the best team in the comp - I think they are flag favourites, personally. This is just one game, but forget lack of finals experience, they are the real deal, and they seem there to also just have fun, from now on they've got nothing to lose. The Swans were actually trying their heart out, the pressure was intense, but the Giants just busted it right open.
Geelong didn't play their best, and even though Hawthorn played one of their best games all year, they couldn't beat them, even if it went right to the line. The Crows thrashed North, but that says nothing, nobody seriously thought the Roos were a chance. The winner of the Swans vs Crows match will be pretty battered, and I expect Geelong will probably beat them in the Prelim. If GWS play the way they did today, I expect them to absolutely smash the winner of Hawks vs Dogs. I haven't seen such aggressive, attacking, exciting football in a final for awhile. As we know the Swans still like to play defensive football creating a lot of stoppages, but the Giants' style of play just busted that wide open. GWS will do what Hawthorn did but much better, finding space and run behind the defensive line, with more speed, getting it in very quick on the rebound.
Sportsbet has them as slightly behind Geelong to win the flag, but I expect a Geelong vs GWS final, which actually could be quite interesting. The Cat's fans reaction to Stevie J should be worth it alone. Many the fears about the juggernaut the AFL has created are justified...
