Autopsy GWS beat North - game over at half time

We are the least effective tackling team in the AFL period.

We could be a 5 goal better team next week, if we just spent the week practicing taking the arm in the tackle.

Almost every tackle the opponent handballs the ball to a teammate and we don't disrupt their ball movement.

Such a simple change with a huge potential benefit.

Can’t even get angry at how poor that was.
We are abysmal.

Himmelberg had 37 possessions ffs. Himmelberg.

That’s enough to get a coach sacked. Enoughs enough.
You want to blame the players ask why the f*** the players are dishing up shit like that

LDU brilliant. Powell, Curtis, Taylor, Perez all full of promise. Hayden, Xerri, Turner all ok. We've badly missed Hall too. All in all not as bad I was expecting after that first quarter. Puts us in a weird position. Not quite enough to definitively give Noble the sack but the long kicks to a pack on the wing are getting tiresome. Crowd of 13k will ensure the pricks in the media won't be able to have a go. Well done to all the fans that rocked up

13 rounds into the season, we have won 3 of 26 quarters after halftime. And only 12 in total.

It isn't good enough, we aren't competitive and once teams get a couple of goals in front we don't look interested. It's a shame because there are periods in games where you can see the talent on show and it looks exciting, but too often we drop our heads when a mistake is made and our opponents get another run on.

Something needs to be done, and soon, because if it continues like this the young talent we have been brought in over the last few years may look for greener pastures.

The amount of uncontested marks & possessions was embarrassing.

Why wouldn’t Noble not just say play “man-on-man” and account for your own 1 on 1 ?

Game’s over at 1/4 time anyhow. …. Just try something different and see who’s has enough praise to atleast try win 1 on 1 ?!

Walker did a number on Hogan. Thought he should get a mention. He played well.

Noble has lost the group imo. Once you’ve lost them that’s it. It’s only downfall from there.
I think Josh has been much better the last few weeks. With McKay out, I am pleased we have had him. Always tries and gets so annoyed when he stuffs up or things don't go his way. I wish I could say that about more of our players.

Won two of our last twenty-six quarters.
Same problems as ever - no structural capacity to take advantage of opposition turnovers, easily burnt on the far more regular occasions that we turn it over.
Out of the game by half time yet again.
Players visibly frustrated yet again.
Somehow, the only teams to have used less players than we have this year are Melbourne and St. Kilda.
Nothing will change if we change nothing.

Only real positive was the crowd - I thought 13k was impressive given our ladder position, general crowd size and the cold weather.

There was a lot of noise being made too, when we finally started scoring.

Amarfio and Hood were on level 1 at 3 quarter time, talking with fans. I thought that was cool.

Piss Noble off tonight. They are not playing for him. They are not playing for each other. Right now they are all playing only for a pay cheque. They don’t care, and as long as he is in charge, NOTHING will change.
The game was over at QT, but I'm not sure what you were watching if you think these blokes don't care

Were they apologising?

Every supporter who turned up, well done. LDU and Paul Curtis two highlights. Nick Larkey tried his guts out

I'm not expecting much at present but jeez we are frustrating. The amount of times where it is a contest for the ball and we have equal nos or even outnumber the opposition and we fail to get the pill is disappointing. So many of our players seem to have lost the natural instinct to win the contest and win the ball.

On another note, who was our last mobile player to kick a goal on the run from the 50m arc? The opposition seem to have multiple chances to display that skill. All our goals seem to come from hard won (rarely) combative play.

Improvers this year are LDU, Scott, Taylor, Xerri (from a low base), Corr (the ball is always in his zone). Have I missed anyone? So many players have gone seriously backwards (Hello Skipper).

Crowd was small but passionate and loud - everyone was clearly itching to show the boys some love, if only there was more to get hype about.

Brilliant game from LDU. Taylor and Curtis looked pretty good too.

Thats about all the nourishment I could get out of todays game.

Agreed mate.

This nourishment thing drives me crazy as it clearly isn't working.

It's one thing to be beaten - I can accept that, but to be utterly inept and no passion is a disgrace to our jumper.
