He was one of our best last week? His hardness is one of the reasons we have put some wins together.
You will never see me question his courage and bravery and his tackling skills, all of which are almost peerless at the club. I just think what our midfield needs right now are winners. Players who are proactive and want to make things happen and show urgency to impact contests beyond just laying tackles.

As I said, he won't be dropped anyway. Was just my take on changes for this week.

Probably the most important Derby game since the 2018 EF (the less said about that game, the better...). No doubt GWS came to life under Kingsley, could be new coach bounce but they are the in-form team of the comp.

Might show up for this one, cheap tickets and its a driveable distance

Bud, Ramps out

Hickey, Francis ins.

Mids is where this is at…. Roberts went well for half a game today, they will smash us in the middle if we are not totally on our game. Not certain Roberts is good for this game, but we need really competitive beasts in the middle.

Hickey deserves a spot after today, and we need a recognised ruckman in this one.
Also don’t want to see Amartey in the ruck too often. He is probably our most important goal scoring weapon for the rest of the season.

I'd play Roberts before both of them.

Agree if he is fit for sure

Clarke needs a tagging job or doesn't play imo, not a good sub.

Stephens maybe gets a go at sub, but looks like he may be a high level VFL player

He has his role and he plays it well.. not getting anyone from the lower grade that would do more or what you’re asking for.

Our proactive players are quite clearly Errol, Chad, Blakey, Florent etc.. can’t really ask for much more from what we’ve got.

Well that was the whole point of why I suggested Roberts, because I think he can offer more. In the VFL he's shown an attack on the ball that has all but disappeared from Rowbottom's game, and his "role" is not what our midfield needs at all in my opinion.

Roberts may be young but that doesn't mean he's not ready for the midfield. We thought the same about Sheldrick and he thrived as soon as he was given the opportunity. By all accounts Roberts was actually ahead of Sheldrick this year, so I'm optimistic.

How match-fit he is given his return from injury I don't know. At the very least I'd consider making him sub so we can swap he & Rowbottom over mid-game and actually get something out of our sub for once while also bringing a fresh set of legs into the midfield.

High level VFL player is a stretch. He's yet to have a single VFL game where I've thought he's looked too good for the level. As you know I've defended him for a long time but this has been his most disappointing stretch IMO. Watching him butcher it over and over and over in the reserves is just so deflating.

I’d definitely be interested to hear what you find in the depths of the dirty Parramatta River on your way to the game 😂

I can tell you that you can develop film in the Parramatta river.

Can't believe they are dropping Buddy this week!

He thought it was a potato scallop

I wouldn't have smacked his calf in and retired him over it, but it can't be let go
