Kind of feels like the whole was Langers sledged inappropriately thing has overtaken the fact that the boys went out and beat the form team in the competition
that the young defence, that lets not forget lost Hardwick to concussion in the first half kept Buddy who was leading the coleman to 1 goal

that the significance of this win for a young group in front of over 50 thousand supporters at the MCG is being overlooked

lets not forget about what the team did

Watching the youngsters on Friday night it really struck me that they are just as hungry for success as the three-peat team was. Stoked for them that they got this win, some of them have been watching from the sidelines for awhile but are now getting their chance, to their credit they are making the most of it.

to be fair 638 different players have hit the field this year and the commentators don't just cover one club, now Brand has played over 20 games so maybe you think by now they should get the name right, but they are still expected to know over 600 players names just based on who plays every year
Fair enough, but last week, I think, one commentator kept calling Hartung, Duryea, then corrected himself, and got it right for a while, but went back to calling Duryea again. They are supposed to be professional, and are well paid so I expect better.
As for Richo introducing Julia Gillard, chairman, well that's just, well .. er..Richo.

hey i'm not saying they cant be better but its a big job when you think about it, we just get used to our blokes and the stars from other teams, they have to get everyone, and the game gets faster

plus I don't know about you but once I get a name wrong I'm stuffed for a long time, plus sometimes you see players from a distance and they look the same, when Burton debuted he looked very much like Smith even down to the color of the boots

I reserve my disgust for print media where they get players names or positions wrong which happens a lot

Sounds like Zac Jones saying to Langford: "You ****ta! You're weak and you're a ****ta!"

This I reckon is far more controversial than what Langford did after this was said. Pretty homophobic comments from a player from a club who just played a pride themed game a couple weeks ago.
Really though, is this at all surprising coming from Zak Jones? Look at him. He's a first class mouthbreathing idiot.

I think they're hungrier. The threepeat team had 2012 to spur them on. These guys are a bunch of victory loving psychos.

Belated comment on game. Was at a function that could not escape, so ended up watching replay of second half at 1.30am at the local pub... Sound was off and I knew the result, which gives different feel (more objective maybe, without BT carrying on like a goose).

Anyway, what struck me most is how much better we were than Swans in final quarter. Really should have won by 25 points. Just couldn't quite hit scoreboard like we should have.

Unfair for the Swans to have to play without midfielders every time against Hawks. They just seem to go missing in big games. Parker/Hannebury/Kennedy would have been big ins for them.

Oh wait....
It's funny because it's true.

Kennedy was injured, but the other two are pretenders.

Calm down a bit or there'll be a couple of big fellas at your front door in a bit. The one named Dear probably just wants you to watch a DVD of the '91 Grand Final, but the other one named Scott might be there to beat the living crap out of you with his purse simply because he disagrees with you about the 'bestiness" of Big Boy's excellent performance!
Stephen Lawrence, whole 91 finals series. f**king immense that was

What has also surprised me is the carry-on regarding Lloyd's absence in both games. He may be a good player, but the way some Swans fans are going on it is as if they are missing a combination of Skilton, Kelly, O'Keeffe and Barry.

Hey, don't forget Gary Rohan was a late withdrawl. They missed his ten possessions of nothingness.

Happy for the Swans to have had Rohan and Lloyd if we could have had Rioli, Birchall, Frawley, Stratton, JOM. Our injury list far outweighs theirs so it shouldnt even be an argument.

The goal review decision? Did they forgot the Rd 10 one when Langford's kick was CLEARLY a goal but was ruled a behind? Yet we still overcome and won? $wan$ always need help getting it done.

reckon he copped a cork in the first half and it really slowed him down in the end

Howe still played a good game no doubt but Joey wasn't at full strength
